INJURIES

Damien Harris - Set to be UFA after Week 18 loss Harris rushed 13 times for 48 yards and caught one of four targets for four yards in Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Bills.
Impact Harris split carries with Rhamondre Stevenson in what could be Harris' last game as a Patriot. The 25-year-old running back will be an unrestricted free agent after rushing 106 times for 462 yards and three touchdowns in his fourth NFL season. Harris scored 15 rushing touchdowns in 2021, but injuries limited him to 11 appearances in 2022.

Rhamondre Stevenson - Finishes with 1,461 scrimmage yards Stevenson rushed six times for 54 yards and caught five of six targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Bills.
Impact Stevenson was far more effective than Damien Harris (13 carries for 48 yards), yet Harris got more rushing attempts in this must-win game. New England was eliminated from playoff contention with the loss. Stevenson's success in a workhorse role while Harris was out helped the second-year running back post 1,040 rushing yards and 421 receiving yards, along with six scrimmage touchdowns on 279 touches. Harris is set to be a free agent in 2023, so Stevenson could be in line for a substantial bump in usage.

Mac Jones - Season over after Week 18 loss Jones completed 26 of 40 passes for 243 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Bills. He added five yards on four rushing attempts.
Impact Jones tossed a pair of game-tying two-yard touchdowns in the first half, finding Jakobi Meyers in the first quarter and DeVante Parker in the second. He was intercepted at Buffalo's two-yard line in the third quarter, then found Parker for a 26-yard touchdown in the fourth before throwing away the Patriots' playoff hopes with interceptions on each of New England's final two drives. New England's Jones-led passing game held back an otherwise talented roster in his second season, but the 2021 first-round pick remains the front-runner for the team's starting quarterback job in 2023. Across 14 starts, Jones posted a 14:11 TD:INT while falling three passing yards shy of 3,000.

DaMarcus Mitchell - Will remain out Sunday Mitchell (head) will not return to Sunday's game against the Bills, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
Impact Mitchell was forced out with a head injury in the first half, though it's unclear when or how this issue first arose. His absence will leave New England without one of its core special-teamers for the remainder of this Week 18 contest.

Matthew Judon - Returns versus Buffalo Judon has re-entered Sunday's game against the Bills, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports.
Impact Judon was previously forced out after going down with an ankle injury, though he was able to return before the end of the first half. Expect him to reprise his role as New England's top pass rusher for the remainder of this contest.

DaMarcus Mitchell - Leaves with injury Sunday Mitchell (head) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Buffalo.
Impact Mitchell sustained a head injury at some point during the first half, though the nature and severity of this issue are still unclear. The 24-year-old has exclusively appeared on defense during just one of 15 games heading into Sunday's regular-season finale.

Matthew Judon - Exits with injury Sunday Judon (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bills.
Impact Judon appeared to get his ankle rolled up on while being blocked in the first quarter, according to Zack Cox of NESN.com. The 30-year-old pass rusher came into Week 18 tied for third in the NFL with 15.5 sacks. In his absence, Anfernee Jennings and Josh Uche will serve as New England's only available outside linebackers.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Jabrill Peppers - Questionable to return Peppers is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bills with an ankle injury.
Impact Peppers sustained an ankle injury on Buffalo's second kickoff return of the first quarter, according to Zack Cox of NESN.com. The 27-year-old has been a fixture on special teams while also playing a consistent rotational role in New England's secondary this season. With Peppers sidelined for the time being, expect Adrian Phillips to play an increased role alongside starting safeties Kyle Dugger and Devin McCourty.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Brenden Schooler - Not suiting up Sunday Schooler (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Impact Schooler, who posted back-to-back limited practices in both of Thursday's and Friday's sessions due to a hip concern, has since been deemed inactive for the Week 18 matchup versus Buffalo. The 25-year-old has strictly operated as a special-teams contributor this season, so his absence shouldn't alter New England's defensive game plan.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Jonathan Jones - Good to go Sunday Jones (chest) is active for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Impact Jones logged a trio of capped practices earlier this week as a result of an apparent chest injury, but it's since been revealed that he'll suit up and command his usual every-down cornerback role in Week 18 versus Buffalo. The 29-year-old currently needs 11 more tackles to tie his previous career high in that department.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Jakobi Meyers - Suits up Sunday Meyers (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Impact Meyers, who aggravated a shoulder injury during last week's win over the Dolphins, was able to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday through Friday, before being listed as questionable for Sunday's contest. With his Week 18 availability confirmed, New England's top wide receiver should remain a key target for QB Mac Jones in a game that the team needs to win in order to secure a spot in the upcoming postseason. To date, Meyers has caught 64 of his 89 targets for 772 yards and five TDs, a rate of production that makes him the Patriots' most reliable pass-catcher from a fantasy perspective.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Matt Sokol - Brought back up to active roster The Patriots elevated Sokol from the practice squad Saturday for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Impact Sokol will be elevated for the second game in a row to end the 2022 regular season. The 27-year-old was brought up ahead of the Week 17 game against Miami and played 10 offensive snaps in place of Jonnu Smith (concussion), though Sokol did not see a target against the Dolphins. With Smith remaining out Week 18, Sokol should once again serve as New England's only other available tight end behind starter Hunter Henry.
JANUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Jalen Mills - Downgraded to out Mills (groin) has been ruled out for the Patriots' regular-season finale against the Bills.
Impact With Mills out, the Patriots have the potential to be very thin at cornerback, as Jonathan Jones (chest) is also considered questioanable. Thus, the likes of Myles Bryant, Marcus Jones, Tae Hayes and Shaun Wade could be in line for bigger workloads than usual.
JANUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Jonnu Smith - Downgraded, will not play Smith (concussion) was downgraded and will not play Sunday against the Bills.
Impact That's now two consecutive games Smith will miss after suffering a concussion Week 16 against the Bengals. Expect Hunter Henry to see more work with the veteran tight end unavailable. The 28-year-old tallied five receptions and 52 yards in last week's win over the Dolphins with Smith sidelined.
JANUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Jonathan Jones - Could miss Week 18 Jones (chest) is considered questionable to play Sunday against the Bills.
Impact Jones popped up with a chest injury Wednesday that left him limited for each practice ahead of this crucial Week 18 matchup. The nature and severity of this issue are still unknown, so it will be worth monitoring his status on New England's final inactives list released 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 pm E.T. kickoff. With fellow starting cornerback Jalen Mills (groin) also questionable to play, the Patriots could once again have to rely on Marcus Jones and Myles Bryant to play significant roles against Buffalo's premier passing attack.
JANUARY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Jake Bailey - Lands on suspended list The Patriots placed Bailey (back) on the reserve/suspended list Friday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Head coach Bill Belichick confirmed earlier Friday that Bailey will miss the rest of the season after the punter's 21-day window to return from injured reserve came to a close, so the move to the suspended list won't affect Bailey's status for Week 18. According to Reiss, Bailey received the suspension for his differing viewpoint from the team about his readiness to play. Bailey will lose out on two game checks as a result of the suspension, which could also threaten some of the guaranteed money he was due to receive on the four-year, $13.5 million extension he signed in August.

Jack Jones - Receives suspension The Patriots moved Jones (knee) from injured reserve to the reserve/suspended list Friday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Jones' suspension stems from a violation of team rules, while Mike Garafolo of NFL Network relays that the cornerback's agent suggests that the suspension "appears to be based on miscommunication regarding [Jones'] rehab process." Jones concludes the 2022 season 30 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble in 13 games.

Jonnu Smith - Questionable for Week 18 Smith (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills after practicing in a limited fashion Thursday and Friday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official sit...
Impact Smith, who didn't play in the team's Week 17 win over the Dolphins, but he'll have a chance to suit up this weekend. If available, Smith would likely work as the No. 2 option behind fellow tight end Hunter Henry, rendering Smith an unreliable fantasy option. In 14 games to date, Smith has caught 27 of his 38 targets for 245 yards and has yet to record a touchdown.
JANUARY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Jakobi Meyers - Listed as questionable Meyers (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills after practicing in a limited fashion this week, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Impact Meyers aggravated a shoulder injury in last week's win over the Dolphins, but given that he was able to practices Wednesday through Friday, the Patriots' top wide receiver should be on the field Sunday in a game that has playoff implications on both sides. In any case, Meyers' status will be confirmed in advance of the first batch of games Sunday, with New England and Buffalo kicking off at 1 p.m. ET.
