Impact The fourth-year edge rusher tore his quad in the Week 16 loss to the Lions and is obviously done for the season. Wonnum was having a breakout season under first-year DC Brian Flores, playing a career-best 83 percent of the defensive snaps and matching his previous career high with eight sacks. He's scheduled to hit free agency in March.

Impact Mattison sat out Week 15 due to a low right-ankle sprain, but he was able to return to action this past Sunday against the Lions, when he turned two carries into minus-1 yard on five offensive snaps. Fellow running back Ty Chandler paced the Vikings backfield with 36 snaps on offense, but he managed just eight carries for 17 yards and one touchdown. As long as Mattison's health is compromised, he may continue to play second fiddle to Chandler down the stretch, assuming the former is active on game days. In the end, Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Mattison enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's NFC North matchup with the Packers.

Impact Mullens earned the starting nod after nearly leading Minnesota to victory in an overtime loss to Cincinnati last week. The veteran backup continued to sling the ball around freely, eclipsing 400 yards passing right after throwing for 303 yards against the Bengals. While that style of play can result in the gaudy numbers we've seen so far from Mullens, it can also result in costly turnovers. The 28-year-old three four more interceptions and nearly lost two fumbles after throwing two picks in his last start. That said, there is fantasy value to be had from Mullens based on passing volume alone -- especially in formats that do not punish turnovers harshly -- for next Sunday's home matchup against the Packers.

Impact Hockenson suffered the injury on the Vikings' opening drive of the third quarter, when he took a hard shot to the knee following a reception, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. He'll finish the contest with four catches for 58 yards on four targets. The Vikings will likely provide an update on Hockenson's condition in the coming days, but for the time being, his status for the team's Week 17 game versus the Packers is uncertain.
