Signed to active roster The Broncos signed Humphrey from their practice squad to the active roster Wednesday.

Impact Humphrey will rejoin Denver's active roster where he spent time earlier this season before being released and signed to the practice squad last week. So far this year the 25-year-old has caught four of his five targets for 26 yards and a touchdown in six games and will look to add to those numbers versus the Packers on Sunday.

The 24-year-old wide receiver is now slated to compete for a depth role within Denver's receiving corps this offseason.

Impact Humphrey was waived by New England on Tuesday before re-signing with the team's practice squad Thursday. Humphrey ultimately did not record a statistic while playing just one special-teams snap during this 38-15 win over the Browns, and he'll now be eligible for two more elevations from the Patriots' practice squad this season.

Impact Humphrey missed seven games between injuries, coach's decisions and COVID protocols, but he was a regular part of the rotation over the second half of the season despite Tre'Quan Smith's return to the lineup. However, the 6-foot-4 only saw more than two targets twice and only once was he targeted in the red zone. While Humphrey's status as an exclusive-rights free agent almost guarantees that he'll be back in New Orleans in 2022, each of Michael Thomas, Marquez Callaway and Deonte Harris will probably be back as well, and it's possible other talents are added to the mix.
