The best-case scenario for the third-year pro is likely the No. 4 spot on the wide receiver depth chart if Christian Kirk, Marvin Jones and Zay Jones stay healthy, but Shenault could also fall behind Laquon Treadwell or undrafted rookie Tim Jones, who caught five passes for 70 yards Saturday.

Impact Shenault finished second on the team in targets, receptions and yards, and he was out-produced on the team by only Marvin Jones. As could be expected, Shenault worked primarily in the short areas of the field and relied heavily on yardage after the catch for his production. The end result was Shenault's best performance since Week 4. Despite the campaign ending on a positive note, there's no denying that this season was a big disappointment for Shenault, as he failed to find the end zone and had minimal improvement over his rookie campaign from a statistical standpoint.

Impact Shenault was efficient with his five targets, but he undermined his box score with a lost fumble. Shenault's effectiveness had badly suffered after moving from the slot to outside receiver, so even this mostly unimpressive game is sadly a welcome development in Shenault's highly disappointing season. If Jamal Agnew (hip) misses time, though, the Jaguars might have Shenault play in the slot more against the Falcons in Week 12. That would probably suit his abilities better than playing on the boundary.
