Keilan Robinson - Not playing Saturday Robinson (toe) has been ruled out of the Jaguars' preseason opener against the Chiefs on Saturday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Impact Robinson has been dealing with a toe injury since July 31, and since then he's been limited to individual drills. The rookie fifth-round running back is competing against Tank Bigsby and D'Ernest Johnson for the backup spot behind Travis Etienne. Robinson will work to be available for the Jaguars' second preseason game against the Buccaneers on Aug. 17.

Mac Jones - Third on deck Saturday Jones will suit up for Saturday's preseason game against the Chiefs after Trevor Lawrence and C.J. Beathard have taken the field, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Impact Jones, who had his fifth-year option declined after being dealt to Jacksonville by New England earlier this offseason, appears to currently be behind Beathard in Jaguars' backup quarterback competition. There's plenty of time for that standing to shift ahead of Week 1, especially if the 2021 first-round pick can impress during his preseason appearances, but for now Jones' fantasy value is minimal outside of deeper two-QB formats.

C.J. Beathard - Entering lineup second Saturday Coach Doug Pederson said Thursday that Beathard will be the second quarterback to enter Saturday's preseason game against the Chiefs, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Impact Beathard will get a chance to handle preseason reps Saturday after Trevor Lawrence has finished with his allotment of plays. That could be read as an indication that Beathard is currently ahead of Jones in Jacksonville's backup quarterback competition, but real clarity on that front may not arrive until closer to the end of the preseason.

Christian Kirk - Should play Saturday Kirk and other starters are scheduled to play "a series or two" in Saturday's preseason game against Kansas City, Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union reports.
Impact Kirk and TE Evan Engram are the returning standouts in a new-look group of pass catchers, with Calvin Ridley (Titans) and Zay Jones (Cardinals) having been replaced by Gabe Davis and first-round pick Brian Thomas. There's been no report of any injury trouble for Kirk this spring or summer, after he missed the final five games of last season to undergo core muscle surgery. Prior to suffering the injury Week 13, he led the Jaguars in targets, catches and receiving yards, averaging 5.1 receptions for 69.2 yards on 7.6 targets per game.

Trevor Lawrence - Set to play Saturday Lawrence and other starters are scheduled to play "a series or two" in Saturday's preseason game against Kansas City, Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union reports.
Impact It doesn't sound like Lawrence will get enough run to be a desirable option in preseasons DFS contests, but fantasy players may be interested to see him take the field with new wide receivers Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas. It's not clear the latter will get much first-team work at this point, but the Jaguars figure to give their rookie first-round pick a good look at some point this year even if Parker Washington gets more snaps early on (which is far from a sure thing).

Gregory Junior - Moves to IR Junior (undisclosed) reverted to the Jaguars' injured reserve Wednesday after clearing waivers, per the NFL's transaction log.
Impact Junior was waived/injured by Jacksonville yesterday and he's reverted to IR after clearing waivers. The 25-year-old cornerback will be forced to miss all of 2024 unless he can reach an injury settlement with the Jaguars.

Impact Dixon's most recent in-game action came back in 2022 when he appeared in three regular-season games with the Jaguars, recording one total tackle and playing 29 total snaps (four defensive and 25 on special teams). He'll likely be competing for a similar role once he returns from his knee injury.

Impact Amos began the 2023 season with the Jets, but he joined the Texans in December after being waives. Across 16 regular-season games last year, the 2015 fifth-round pick accumulated 28 tackles (23 solo) and one pass defended. Amos will add depth to the Jaguars' secondary behind starting safeties Andre Cisco and Darnell Savage.
