Drew Ogletree - Garners first TE target Saturday Ogletree failed to bring in his lone target in Saturday's preseason win over the Cardinals.
Impact Ogletree was the first tight end targeted by fill-in starter Sam Ehlinger in Saturday's exhibition. Kylen Granson and Mo Alie-Cox did not suit up for this contest while Jelani Woods (toe) suffered a minor injury against Arizona. Ogletree figures to still be in the mix for an unsettled tight end depth chart in Indianapolis this season.

Jason Bean - Rushes for TD in preseason win Bean was 7-of-9 passing for 94 yards with an interception in Saturday's preseason win over Arizona. He also had four carries for 14 yards, including a one-yard touchdown run.
Impact Bean has 4.55 speed and there's been talk that he could be converted to wide receiver, but he's played quarterback for the Colts in the preseason. He's listed as QB/WR on the team's official web site. He's only nominally in the running for a roster spot as the Colts may decide to develop him or change his position on the practice squad.

Matt Gay - Missing field goals in preseason Gay missed field goal attempts from 56 and 64 yards in Saturday's preseason win over Arizona. He converted all three extra-point attempts.
Impact Gay is just 1-for-4 in field-goal attempts in two preseason games, also missing a 36-yard attempt in the first preseason game. His only make is from 26 yards. We wouldn't be too worried about missing two field goals longer than 50 yards, but Gay signed one of the largest contracts in the league for a kicker (four-year, $22.5 million deal) to make long kicks.

Evan Hull - Gains 31 yards on five touches Hull had four carries for 26 yards and caught his only target for five yards in Saturday's preseason win over Arizona.
Impact Hull was the second player to receive a carry for Indianapolis behind Tyler Goodson (6-35-1) despite taking reps ahead of his backfield mate during practice this week. Projected No. 2 back Trey Sermon remains sidelined with the hamstring injury he suffered in the Colts' preseason opener, upgrading the battle for third on the depth chart to a competition to be Jonathan Taylor's primary backup. Hull, Goodson and possibly Zavier Scott (11-55-1) may compete for multiple spots on the roster heading into the final week of the exhibition schedule.

Tyler Goodson - Maintains edge in position battle Goodson took six carries for 35 yards and touchdown (no targets) in Saturday's 21-13 preseason win over Arizona.
Impact Goodson was the first back used sans Jonathan Taylor (coach's decision) for the second game in a row this preseason. The 23-year-old responded with touchdowns in both exhibition contests. Fellow backup Evan Hull continues to play well behind Goodson on the depth chart, while projected No. 2 back Trey Sermon (hamstring) remains without a timeline to return. If Goodson holds pole position following next week's preseason finale, then he may find himself serving as Taylor's primary backup come Week 1. The 5-foot-9 speedster out of Iowa would actually complement the starter's bruising north-south style of running better than Sermon, who better matches Taylor's physical build without the superstar's ball skills.

Impact Sills hurt his ankle in the first quarter, and though he was later spotted running on the sidelines, he won't return to the exhibition game. The offensive guard is competing for a spot on the Colts' 53-man roster, so it could be critical for him to return to health in time for the team's final preseason contest Thursday versus Cincinnati.

Impact Brents started and played most of the first quarter before getting hurt. The cornerback was ruled out early in the second period and finished the game with one assisted tackle. Impact Along with Pittman, the rest of the Colts' starters and No. 2 signal-caller Joe Flacco won't be available for the team's second exhibition. Assuming Josh Downs (ankle) also doesn't play, Indy's available wide receivers figure to be rookie second-rounder Adonai Mitchell, Alec Pierce and Ashton Dulin (hamstring, if available), among others. In four pro seasons to date, Pittman has two 1,000-yard tallies on his resume, and he's posted 14 receiving touchdowns in 49 regular-season contests the last three campaigns.

Thus far Sermon had worked as the clear No. 2 man behind Jonathan Taylor, but Wednesday's practice seems like an indication that Hull, one of the better pass-catchers in the Colts' backfield, could be favored for the No. 3 gig over Tyler Goodson.
