Set to debut on MNF Dulcich (hamstring) has been activated from injured reserve and will make his NFL debut Monday against the Chargers.
Impact Dulcich may need some time to get up to speed, but there's a clear path for the rookie to immediately carve out a prominent role in an underwhelming group of Broncos tight ends led by Eric Saubert (ankle) and Albert Okwuegbunam. Drafted in the third round out of UCLA, Dulcich had been impressing in camp prior to hurting his hamstring.

Expected to debut Week 6 Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said Thursday that he hopes to have Dulcich (hamstring) back from injured reserve for the Broncos' Week 6 game against the Chargers, Zac Stevens of The...
Impact The third-round rookie out of UCLA has missed the Broncos' first five games of the season, but he was cleared to resume practicing Tuesday and looks to be making good progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury. The Broncos will presumably assess Dulcich in practices over the next three days before deciding whether he's fit to handle some snaps in Monday's game. With Albert Okwuegbunam having handled a lesser role than anticipated with Hackett at the helm, Dulcich could get the opportunity to step in as Denver's top pass-catching tight end once he gets up to full speed. If he's active for Week 6, Dulcich will likely be tasked with only a limited role in his first game back from his injury.
OCTOBER 13, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to practice Tuesday The Broncos designated Dulcich (hamstring) for return from injured reserve Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
Impact An offseason hamstring issue followed Dulcich into training camp, the preseason and eventually the regular season, forcing him to IR for Weeks 1-5. Now that he's back on the practice field, he can be activated anytime in the next 21 days, which may happen ahead of Monday's matchup with the Chargers. Whenever the rookie third-round pick returns, Dulcich will join a TE group that so far has been paced by Eric Saubert in terms of offensive snap share (47 percent), followed by Eric Tomlinson (42 percent), Albert Okwuegbunam (36 percent) and Andrew Beck (27 percent).

May return soon Dulcich (hamstring) is expected to begin practicing this week, according to head coach Nathanial Hackett, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Impact Dulcich has been dealing with a hamstring injury since the beginning of training camp, which resulted in him being placed on IR on Aug. 30. Although there were expectations he could be available for Week 5, it did not come to be. If Dulcich is able to return to practice this week, he will need to be designated to return from IR, which would open up a three-week window for him to be moved to the active roster.
OCTOBER 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play Thursday Dulcich (hamstring) will remain on injured reserve and won't play in Thursday's Week 5 contest against the Colts, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.
Impact There was optimism that Dulcich would be able to return for Week 5, the earliest possible season debut for the tight end after starting the campaign on IR. However, with the Broncos on a short week, Dulcich will remain sidelined for yet another contest. Once he's designated to return from IR, the rookie third-round pick will have a 21-day period before he'll need to be activated to the 53-man roster.

On track for Week 5 return Per coach Nathaniel Hackett, there's "a very high chance" that Dulcich (hamstring) will practice next week and return from injured reserve when first eligible to do so Week 5 again...
Impact The rookie tight end had been impressing in camp prior to getting hurt, so Dulcich could carve out a prominent role once he's back. Getting up to speed in time to face the Colts won't be easy, though, as the Broncos will have a short week of practice before playing Thursday in Week 5.

Out with hamstring injury Dulchich (hamstring) isn't in uniform for Saturday's preseason game against Buffalo, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact While the rookie remains sidelined by an injury, it seems Albert Okwuegbunam still has something to prove, as the third-year tight end is in uniform while key guys like Courtland Sutton, Javonte Williams and Jerry Jeudy are being held out.

Misses practice Dulcich (hamstring) missed practice Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact The 2022 third-rounder also sat out Wednesday's session, so consider Dulcich day-to-day as Saturday's preseason opener against the Cowboys approaches. When healthy, Dulcich will look to make his case to secure a key role in Denver's offense alongside returnee Albert Okwuegbunam. Tight end targets are up for grabs this season after the Broncos sent Noah Fant to the Seahawks in the trade that brought in Russell Wilson.
AUGUST 11, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
No limitations at practice Dulcich (hamstring) returned to full-speed team drills Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact Dulcich took the final step after going through individual drills on consecutive days earlier in the week. His absence from the first week-plus of training camp isn't ideal, but the third-round pick still has plenty of time to make his case for a role on passing downs. Dulcich reportedly got some work with the first-team offense during offseason practices, potentially setting him up to challenge Albert Okwuegbunam for snaps and targets at tight end. A starting job would be more of a longshot, given that Dulcich is an undersized pass-catching specialist, not to mention a rookie at a position with a steep learning curve.

Making progress with hamstring Dulcich (hamstring) has made progress this week, going through individual drills back-to-back days, Andrew Mason of 104.3 The Fan Denver reports.
Impact The rookie tight end seemingly is on track to rejoin team drills soon, though head coach Nathaniel Hackett said the Broncos will be careful with him given the nature of hamstring injuries. Dulcich is in the mix for targets at tight end, though Albert Okwuegbunam is the favorite for the starting job and has clear advantages over his new teammate in terms size, speed and experience. Dulcich might be better in the short passing game, however.
AUGUST 3, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Coach downplays absence Coach Nathaniel Hackett isn't concerned about Dulcich's (hamstring) absence from training camp, Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports reports.
Impact The Broncos are taking it easy with their rookie third-round pick, and Hackett pointed out that there's still plenty of time for Dulcich to get up to speed before the regular season. Once healthy, Dulcich is expected to compete with Albert Okwuegbunam for playing time at tight end.
AUGUST 1, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with hamstring injury Dulcich (hamstring) will be worked back into practice slowly as he nurses an offseason hamstring injury, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact Coach Nathaniel Hackett said of Dulcich's injury Wednesday, "We want to make sure he can get a certain amount of work. That's why he's just going to be on the side a little bit, and we'll slowly work him back in." It's clear the team is exercising caution with the tight end as he gets back to full strength. Denver's coaching staff seems ready to allow Dulcich to compete for top billing at the position with holdover Albert Okwuegbunam. Once the rookie is fully healthy, his athleticism and ability to stretch the field could lead to his emergence as the starter.
JULY 30, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Working through core-muscle injury Dulcich missed the final week of the Broncos' OTAs as well as the team's two-practice mandatory minicamp due to a minor core muscle pull, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Impact The injury doesn't seem to be a major concern for Dulcich, who could be fully cleared for the start of training camp later this month. If ready to go for camp, the rookie out of UCLA should get the chance to compete for the top spot on the depth chart at tight end with holdover Albert Okwuegbunam. Even though Okwuegbunam was thought to have the No. 1 role locked down after Noah Fant was traded to the Seahawks earlier in the offseason, Dulcich and Okwuegbunam had been splitting reps with the first-team offense in OTAs prior to the rookie missing time with injury. Dulcich has promise as a pass catcher and the coaching staff seems interested in seeing what he can do early on in camp and the preseason.
