Nothing doing despite larger role
Knox caught two of four targets for 16 yards during Sunday's 32-30 loss to the Cardinals
Impact
Knox saw a season-high 70 percent of offensive snaps last weekend while fellow tight end Tyler Kroft was on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but he wasn't able to parlay that opportunity into much fantasy production. The 2019 third-round pick is having a disappointing sophomore season, as he has yet to score or surpass 36 yards in any of his six appearances. Kroft has already managed to return from the COVID-19 list during Buffalo's bye week, a development that essentially bumps Knox off the fantasy radar.

'Hail Murray' loss will linger through Bills' bye week off
The sting of DeAndre Hopkins' leaping last-second touchdown catch is going to linger much longer for the Buffalo Bills

In line for extra targets?
Knox's teammate Tyler Kroft has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and won't play in Sunday's game at Arizona.
Impact
This pretty much ensures that Knox will be out there for any set that requires a tight end serving as a wide receiver Sunday. Knox has had all sorts of issues this season between a concussion, calf injury and his own positive COVID-19 diagnosis, but if there's ever going to be a week for him to get going, this would be the candidate. Buffalo and Arizona feature two of the league's best offenses to date, so the contest has some shootout potential.

Ready to go Sunday
Knox (calf) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Impact
The 23-year-old was considered questionable for Sunday's contest while continuing to battle the calf issue, but he'll be suiting up against Seattle. Knox should work as Buffalo's No. 1 tight end with Tyler Kroft the next man up should he be limited or aggravate the injury.

Questionable for Week 9
Knox (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Impact
Though Knox returned from reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, he remained limited in back-to-back practices due to the calf injury that sidelined him back in Week 6. Given that Knox hasn't practiced fully since suffering the injury Oct. 13, the Bills may be hesitant to keep him active in Week 9. If Knox is ultimately sidelined or limited Sunday, Tyler Kroft would likely serve as the Bills' top tight end.

Limited in Thursday's practice
Knox (calf) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Impact
Ten days after testing positive for COVID-19, Knox was cleared to rejoin the Bills for practice after he completed a quarantine period that included two consecutive negative test results. Though Knox no longer resides on the reserve/COVID-19 list, he's apparently still troubled by the calf injury that kept him sidelined for the Bills' Week 6 loss to the Chiefs. The tight end may need to upgrade to full participation in Friday's practice to avoid carrying a designation into Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Back to practice
Knox (calf/illness) returned to practice Thursday, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Impact
Knox's presence at practice means he must have cleared COVID-19 protocols after testing positive for the virus prior to Week 7. Before landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Knox sat out the Bills' Week 6 loss to the Chiefs with a calf issue, so his activity in practice will still need to be monitored before his status for Sunday's game against the Seahawks is confirmed. The Bills have received very little tight end production all season, and it's reached a low point with Knox out of the lineup.

Not practicing to start week
Knox (calf/illness) isn't practicing Wednesday, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Knox remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, though he'll be eligible for activation once 10 days have passed since his last negative test. The tight end was battling a calf injury at the time of his placement on the list, so he'll have multiple issues to heal up from before he's able to practice again. At this point, Knox looks unlikely to gain clearance for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Tests positive for COVID-19
Knox (calf) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday after testing positive, the Bills' official site reports.
Impact
Knox was already going to miss Sunday's game against the Jets due to his calf injury, so perhaps the bigger issue is that the team's tight end room is almost completely depleted, as fellow tight ends Lee Smith, Tommy Sweeney (currently on PUP list), and practice squad player Nate Becker have been defined to have been in close contact with Knox. They have all been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and cannot take Knox's place in Sunday's game.

Knox (calf) has been declared out for Sunday's game at the Jets, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Misses Thursday's session
Knox (calf) was unable to practice Thursday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Impact
Knox was ruled out pretty early ahead of Monday's game against the Chiefs and hasn't been able to practice in any capacity this week. Unless he's able to make a surprise return to practice Friday, expect him to be ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Jets.
