Brady, improved defense keys to Bucs winning Super Bowl

Impact Brate was limited in practice Thursday for "precautionary reasons" and "minor discomfort," per Fowler, so it doesn't seem as though there's any substantial concern about his availability. Despite handling roughly half the offensive snaps of Rob Gronkowski in Tampa Bay's last three playoff games, Brate has drawn nine more targets (16 versus seven) in that span.

Impact It's suboptimal timing three days before the Super Bowl, but there hasn't been any indication Brate's injury is serious. In the event he were to miss the big game, Tampa could turn to Tanner Hudson or Anthony Auclair alongside Rob Gronkowski in multi-TE formations. The 239-pound Hudson has shown some potential as a receiving threat, while the 256-pound Auclair is mostly kept around for blocking.

Brate's production particularly stood out when considering fellow tight end Rob Gronkowski saw just a single target all evening, but it's worth noting Brate also had a pair of four-catch outings over the last five games of the regular season.
