Jets WR Mims dealing with personal issue, could miss game

New York Jets rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims is dealing with what coach Adam Gase called “a personal issue” and could miss the game Sunday at Seattle

Impact Though Perriman played 59 of the Jets' 62 offensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Raiders, he caught just one of his four targets for 22 yards. The Jets have been listing him on their injury reports with the shoulder issue for the past three weeks, but he hasn't carried a designation into any of those contests. Since he's at least on the field in some capacity to begin Week 14, Perriman looks on track to once again gain clearance ahead of the Jets' matchup with the Seahawks.

Impact Sam Darnold posted his first multi-score performance of the season through the air but primarily worked underneath rather than searching out Perriman downfield. Perriman has connected well with Joe Flacco in the absence of Sam Darnold (shoulder), but the latter could return next Sunday against the Dolphins, which could dampen Perriman's fantasy outlook. Considering Miami boasts a surprisingly effective defensive unit, Perriman could struggle to continue his recent success regardless of who is under center.
