Deni Avdija - Headed back to bench
Avdija isn't in the starting lineup for Friday's game versus the Knicks.
Impact
Avdija will be replaced by Kristaps Porzingis in the starting five Friday. The third-year forward is coming off a career-high 20 rebounds.

Taj Gibson - Back to bench Friday
Gibson will come off the bench Friday against the Knicks.
Impact
With Daniel Gafford (ankle) back in the starting five, Gibson will resume a bench role. In his past six games as a reserve, he's averaged 6.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 15.3 minutes.

ROTOWIRE
Jordan Goodwin - Starting Friday
Goodwin will start Friday's game against the Knicks.
Impact
Monte Morris has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, allowing Goodwin to enter the starting five for the fourth time this season. Across his previous three starts, the two-way guard has averaged 12.0 points, 5.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals in 33.0 minutes per game.

ROTOWIRE
Delon Wright - Will remain on minutes restriction
Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Wright will continue to have a minutes restriction for Friday's game versus the Knicks, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Wright has been on a minutes restriction since recovering from a hamstring injury. The 30-year-old guard saw 25 minutes of action in his previous game, so it seems like he still has a reasonably long leash.

Johnny Davis - Downgraded to out
Davis (hip) won't play in Friday's game versus the Knicks.
Impact
Davis has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday with a right hip strain. Monday's matchup with Golden State is the rookie guard's next chance to suit up.

ROTOWIRE
Kristaps Porzingis - Receives green light
Porzingis (ribs) will play in Friday's matchup with the Knicks.
Impact
Per Ava Wallace of The Washington Post, Porzingis will not face any restrictions in his return to action. The big man makes his way back from a single-game absence due to a rib contusion and is slated to take on a primary role with Bradley Beal (hamstring) sidelined. With Porzingis back on the floor, Anthony Gill and Deni Avdija will likely return to their typical roles.

Monte Morris - Ruled out Friday
Morris (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Knicks.
Impact
Morris will miss his first game since Dec. 12 due to his sore right hamstring, and his next chance to suit up will be Monday against the Warriors. Delon Wright and Jordan Goodwin are candidates to see increased roles against New York.

Daniel Gafford - Good to go Friday
Gafford (ankle) is available for Friday's game versus the Knicks.
Impact
Gafford has been upgraded from questionable to available after missing the previous game with a right ankle sprain. The 24-year-old big man will likely replace Taj Gibson in the starting five Friday.

ROTOWIRE
Vernon Carey Jr. - Won't play Friday
Carey (quadriceps) is out for Friday's game versus the Knicks.
Impact
Carey has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday due to a right quadriceps contusion. The third-year big man will have a couple of days to rest up before his next opportunity to return Monday against the Warriors.

Vernon Carey Jr. - Questionable Friday
Carey (quadriceps) is questionable for Friday's game against New York.
Impact
Carey was unable to suit up Wednesday against Chicago, and it's unclear whether he'll be available Friday. If he's cleared to play, he could play a role in Washington's frontcourt since Daniel Gafford (ankle) and Kristaps Porzingis (ribs) are questionable.

ROTOWIRE
Johnny Davis - Questionable Friday
Davis (hip) is questionable for Friday's game versus the Knicks.
Impact
Davis continues to deal with a right hip strain. However, the rookie guard hasn't logged double-digit minutes in any of his 10 appearances this season, so his injury status is unlikely to affect Washington's rotation.

ROTOWIRE
Monte Morris - Questionable Friday
Morris is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks due to right hamstring soreness.
Impact
Morris hasn't missed any time since Dec. 12, and he's scored in double figures in six of his last nine appearances. He's dealing with a right hamstring issue ahead of Friday's matchup, and Delon Wright would likely see increased playing time if Morris is sidelined.

ROTOWIRE
Daniel Gafford - Deemed questionable Friday
Gafford (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks.
Impact
Gafford missed his first game of the season Wednesday against Chicago but will have a chance to return against New York. If he remains out, Taj Gibson would likely continue to see increased playing time.

ROTOWIRE
Kristaps Porzingis - Questionable Friday
Porzingis (ribs) is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks.
Impact
Porzingis was unavailable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls due to his right rib contusion, but he'll be in the mix to return two days later. If he's sidelined once again, Deni Avdija and Anthony Gill would likely continue to see increased run for Washington.

Delon Wright - Contributes across the board in win
Wright finished with four points (2-4 FG), four rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block across 25 minutes in Wednesday's 100-97 win over the Bulls.
Impact
Wright hasn't exceeded nine points in any of his nine appearances since returning to action Dec. 23 after an extended absence due to a hamstring injury, but his scoring contributions aren't what fantasy managers in deeper leagues are rostering him for anyway. Instead, Wright's value is heavily concentrated in the steals category, an area where he once again shined Wednesday. He's now averaging 2.0 steals per game since returning to action, making him an excellent streaming option, particularly while plenty of minutes are up for grabs in the Washington backcourt in the absence of Bradley Beal (hamstring).

Bradley Beal - Resuming basketball activities
Beal (hamstring) was cleared to resume full basketball activities Thursday, and his timetable for a return will be based on his progression.
Impact
A strained left hamstring has kept Beal out for six of the past seven games, leaving Corey Kispert to start at shooting guard. It seems highly unlikely that Beal will be available Friday against the Knicks, so fantasy managers should optimistically hope for a return Monday against the Warriors. Still, given that he already re-injured himself once while attempting to return from the injury, the organization may be more cautious this time. Beal has appeared in just 24 games this season, averaging 22.9 points, 5.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 33.6 minutes.

ROTOWIRE
Anthony Gill - Stuns with career-high 18 points
Gill had 18 points (7-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 100-97 victory over the Bulls.
Impact
Gill hadn't scored more than eight points in a game since Halloween, but with Kristaps Porzingis (ribs) and Daniel Gafford (ankle) both unavailable, the Wizards needed all the frontcourt help they could get. Gill rose to the challenge and set a new career high in points, although the 30-year-old didn't add much else to his ledger. Even if Washington's injury issues persist, it's hard to have any confidence in Gill repeating this performance.

ROTOWIRE
Kyle Kuzma - Leads charge with 21 points
Kuzma closed Wednesday's 100-97 victory over the Bulls with 21 points (9-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 38 minutes.
Impact
Kuzma was the Wizards' leading scorer on the night and sank the game-winning three-pointer, as both teams had trouble getting much going on the offensive end of the court. He's scored at least 20 points in nine of the last 12 games, averaging 21.3 points, 7.3 boards, 4.5 assists and 2.2 threes over that stretch while Bradley Beal (hamstring) tries to get healthy.
