Impact The big takeaway from this game was that Carrington started alongside Tre Johnson in the backcourt in the rookie's return to action, and that could be a sign of things to come. Carrington's overall fantasy appeal is still lacking, however, as he's averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds on 41.8 percent shooting over his last eight games.

Sharife Cooper - Plays well off bench Cooper finished Wednesday's 138-113 loss to the Cavaliers with 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 24 minutes.
Impact Cooper continues to see opportunities on a Washington team that has been hammered by injuries. Over his last seven games, he's averaging 9.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 three-pointers in 21.6 minutes per contest.

Impact Johnson returned from a six-game absence Wednesday and shared the backcourt alongside Bub Carrington, and it will be interesting to see if that trend continues after the All-Star break. Johnson's minutes were held in check Wednesday to be cautious, but his workload should ramp up again following the All-Star break.

Impact Hardy, who made his Washington debut after being acquired from Dallas at the trade deadline, put together a terrific showing in his debut. Player development is going to be a big focus after the All-Star break, so opportunities may arise for Hardy.

Alex Sarr - Out two weeks with hamstring strain The Wizards announced Thursday that Sarr has been diagnosed with a right hamstring strain and is expected to face a two-week recovery timeline.
Impact Sarr sat out Wednesday's 138-113 loss to the Cavaliers with what the team had classified as right hamstring tightness, but follow-up tests confirmed that the second-year big man is dealing with a strain. As a result of the injury, Sarr will sit out the Castrol Rising Stars exhibition at All-Star weekend in Los Angeles, and he'll likely miss at least a handful of contests coming out of the All-Star break. Tristan Vukcevic (illness) joined Sarr on the sideline for Wednesday's loss, but Vukcevic will likely be ready to fill in for Sarr as the Wizards' starting center in the team's next game Feb. 19 versus the Pacers.

Impact Fresh off signing a 10-day contract with the Wizards, Richmond made his debut, scoring five points off the bench. Washington is clearly going to prioritize youth over winning, so we could see a number of players coming in and out of the rotation over the next couple of months. At this stage, there is no reason to be adding Richmond, even in deeper formats.

Impact George tallied double digits for the second straight game, although his playing time remains underwhelming. With Washington clearly shifting into tank mode, it appears as though George is not only going to miss games moving forward, but his playing time could be limited on most nights. While he does remain a must-roster player, managers are going to have to be prepared for some uncertainty.

Will Riley - Struggles in loss Riley posted four points (1-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 138-113 loss to the Cavaliers.
Impact Riley scored single digits for the second straight game, seemingly having lost his shooting touch. Despite the poor production, it does appear as though he could be locked into a relatively consistent role moving forward, something that certainly can't be said for a number of his teammates. Assuming you can deal with some inefficient shooting, Riley remains someone worth rostering, given the fact that he should see close to 30 minutes per game.
