Impact With RJ Barrett (illness) out and Bruce Brown (knee) not quite ready to make his season debut, Shead saw a career-high workload and turned it into his first career double-double. The second-round rookie is working his way into a regular part of the Raptors' rotation, recording at least one steal and one made three-pointer in four straight games while averaging 7.8 points, 5.3 assists, 2.8 boards, 1.3 steals and 1.3 threes in 21.3 minutes a contest over that stretch. Even when Brown joins the lineup, there may still be a spot in the backcourt for Shead.

Impact While the boards and steals prevented it from being a totally lost evening for Barnes from a fantasy perspective, it was still his worst shooting performance of the season. The fourth-year star hadn't scored in single digits since Opening Night, and the ankle issue that cost him two games last week may still be bothering Barnes. Through seven appearances in December, he's averaging 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.6 assists, 2.1 threes, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks.

Impact The rookie might have pushed for 30 if he hadn't left the court for good with 2:40 left in the fourth quarter. Walter had never even reached 20 before Sunday, and the six made threes doubled his prior career high, so it would be easy to dismiss the performance as a fluke. The 19th overall pick in the 2024 Draft has been finding a groove with his shot, however. Over the last five games (two starts), Walter is shooting 44.4 percent (12-for-27) from the beyond the arc while averaging 13.6 points, 2.4 boards, 2.4 threes, 2.0 assists and 0.6 steals in 24.8 minutes a contest.
