Impact Nowell logged 20 minutes in his first game action since Feb. 24 as he dealt with tendinitis in his left knee and scored 14 points. Although the Timberwolves will likely maintain caution with Nowell given the touchy nature of the injury, he should be expected to see a similar if not expanded role Wednesday with Anthony Edwards (ankle) sidelined.

Anthony Edwards - Out Wednesday Edwards (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact There was some hope that Edwards would be able to return for Wednesday's game, but he must have not felt quite right after getting through his pregame routine. Unfortunately, the Timberwolves' next two games come as a Sunday-Monday, back-to-back set, so Edwards could be slated for at least one more game on the sidelines. Taurean Prince could get another start Wednesday, while Mike Conley and Jaden McDaniels will be more involved in the offense.

Impact It was reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic earlier in the day Tuesday that the team is optimistic Edwards will return from a two-game absence Wednesday, so his status may lead slightly on the probable side of questionable. Either way, it will be worth monitoring how his status evolves over the next 24 hours. The Timberwolves are on the verge of getting superstar Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) back, as well, though that could theoretically downgrade Edwards' usage a bit.
