Questionable for Wednesday Daniels (ankle) holds a questionable tag for Wednesday's preseason tilt versus the Heat, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.

Impact Daniels was deemed day-to-day following a limited practice session Tuesday, so it's not surprising that he's not a guaranteed to suit up Wednesday. If he can't go, Friday's preseason finale versus the Hawks would mark his last opportunity to get in some action prior to Opening Night next week.

Considered day-to-day Pelicans head coach Willie Green said Daniels (ankle) was limited during Tuesday's practice and is considered day-to-day, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Daniels tweaked his ankle early in Sunday's preseason matchup against the Spurs and never returned. While it's encouraging to see the rookie first-round pick back in the mix, the Pelicans will likely proceed with immense caution after Daniels dealt with an ankle injury that knocked him out for most of Summer League action.

Departs with ankle injury Daniels left Sunday's preseason game against the Spurs due to a right ankle injury and will not return, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.

Impact Shortly after checking into the game in the first quarter, Daniels appeared to tweak his right ankle and was taken back to the locker room for further evaluation. ESPN's Andrew Lopez notes that the injury does not appear to be serious, but it will nonetheless be worth monitoring ahead of Wednesday's exhibition against Miami. Back in July, an ankle injury also kept Daniels out of action for nearly the entire Las Vegas Summer League.
