Won't play Monday Daniels (rest) has been ruled out for Monday's preseason game against the Thunder, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

Impact Daniels and most of Atlanta's regulars will rest during the Hawks' penultimate preseason contest. He tallied 13 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 11 rebounds, an assist and a steal across 21 minutes in Thursday's 123-116 preseason win over the Spurs but struggled with his shot against the Pacers on Saturday.

Posts double-double in preseason win Daniels tallied 13 points (6-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 11 rebounds, an assist and a steal across 21 minutes in Thursday's 123-116 preseason win over the Spurs.

Impact Daniels was particularly active on the glass, collecting a game-high 11 rebounds, including six offensive boards, to secure a double-double despite an inefficient shooting performance. However, his ability to contribute without relying exclusively on scoring remains a significant part of his fantasy appeal. Daniels will open the season in a starting role in the Hawks' backcourt, where his three-point shooting, defensive contributions and elite rebounding ability will make him a valuable fantasy asset across most formats.

Quiet in preseason opener Daniels finished with six points (2-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-5 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes during Monday's preseason loss to the Grizzlies.

Impact Daniels struggled from both three-point range and the charity stripe before sitting out the second half along with most of Atlanta's starters. Despite the quiet opener, Daniels should continue filling a prominent two-way role for the Hawks this season.

Impact Daniels remained highly productive across the board in 2025-26, averaging 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.0 steals in 33.2 minutes across 76 regular-season appearances, but he connected on just 18.8 percent of his 1.5 three-point attempts per game. Despite the lack of perimeter shooting, Daniels shot 51.7 percent overall and earned a spot on the All-Defensive Second Team, and Atlanta's continued confidence in his offensive development is encouraging heading into 2026-27.
