Impact Murray trailed both Nikola Jokic (34 points) and Aaron Gordon (30 points) among Denver scorers Thursday, but he nonetheless posted a big offensive effort with 25 points. It was his second straight game producing exactly that total following a disappointing nine-point dud against OKC on Dec. 29. That aberration aside, Murray has been quite reliable as a scorer of late, posting 20-plus points in eight of his past nine contests.

Impact This was Gordon's second appearance since returning from a two-game absence due to a dog bite, and the veteran forward put together arguably his best performance of the season. Gordon isn't likely to produce this level of scoring on a consistent basis, but he's been fairly reliable as a mid-level scorer with 11 straight contest of double-digit points.

With the game tied at 127 and the clock ticking down in the fourth quarter, Jokic handled an inbounds pass in the backcourt, took a few dribbles and heaved a 40-foot jumper that banked in for the win. The dramatic shot was the culmination of another MVP-level performance by the big man that included a game-high 34 points and his league-leading 31st double-double of the campaign.
