Cooper Flagg - Team option picked up The Mavericks exercised the third-year team option on Flagg's contract for the 2027-28 season, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Impact Flagg is coming off an impressive rookie campaign with Dallas, averaging 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks across 33.5 minutes per game in 70 regular-season appearances. The second-year forward should operate as one of Dallas' top offensive options alongside Kyrie Irving in 2026-27.

Max Christie - Expected to play Wednesday Christie (rest) is expected to play in Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Rockets.
Impact Christie sat out Friday's preseason finale but should suit up when the Mavericks head to Houston on Wednesday. Over 77 regular-season games (68 starts) with Dallas in 2025-26, he averaged 12.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 29.1 minutes per tilt.

Impact Washington endured a difficult offensive outing, converting just three of his 13 field-goal attempts while shooting a mere 25 percent from beyond the arc. His six rebounds provided some production outside the scoring column, but this wasn't a good ending to the preseason. That said, Washington's ability to contribute across multiple categories remains valuable for fantasy purposes, though his shooting consistency will be worth monitoring once the regular season begins against the Rockets on Oct. 21.

Kyrie Irving - Records five threes, five assists Irving notched 18 points (6-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-4 FT), two rebounds, five assists and two steals across 25 minutes in Friday's 135-111 preseason loss to the Hawks.
Impact Irving showcased his perimeter shooting ability, connecting on five of his seven attempts from beyond the arc, and he also thrived as a playmaker. Even though Irving was taking it slow in the preseason, as this was his first taste of competitive action since early 2025 due to a torn ACL, he looked better than anticipated. Irving didn't play in the fourth quarter as Dallas managed his workload, but he should be good to go for the regular-season opener against the Rockets on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Zaccharie Risacher - Strong finish to preseason Risacher recorded 18 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds and four assists across 27 minutes in Friday's 135-111 preseason loss to the Hawks.
Impact Risacher bounced back from a slow start, scoring 14 of his 18 points after halftime while making all six of his second-half field-goal attempts. His efficient shooting and four assists were encouraging signs as he continues adjusting to Dallas' offense. Risacher's role alongside Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving will be worth monitoring once the regular season begins, but based on his preseason performances, all signs point to him opening the regular season against the Rockets on Oct. 21 in a starting role.

Impact Daniel Gafford (rest) is back and starting after sitting out Wednesday's preseason loss to the Pelicans, so Cisse will return to a reserve role. As a member of the second unit this preseason, Cisse is averaging 1.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 10.5 minutes per game.
