Moussa Cisse - Doesn't practice Thursday Head coach Dusty May said Cisse (ankle) didn't practice Thursday as a precaution but added that the big man "would've been able to play" if there was a game, Mike Curtis of The Dal...

Impact Cisse sprained his left ankle in Wednesday's loss to the Pelicans and could sit out Friday's preseason finale against the Hawks as a precautionary measure. Even if he doesn't play Friday, it appears Cisse is trending toward being available for Wednesday's regular-season opener against Houston.

Santi Aldama - Doubtful for Friday Aldama is unlikely to suit up for Friday's preseason finale against Atlanta, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Impact Coach Dusty May said Thursday that Aldama is getting "much, much closer" to returning but doesn't expect him to play against the Hawks. Although the forward appears to be making progress, his availability for the beginning of the regular season remains uncertain. Dallas could continue leaning on its other frontcourt options until Aldama is cleared to return.

Marcus Sasser - Expected back Friday Sasser (groin) is expected to play in Friday's preseason finale against Atlanta, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Impact Coach Dusty May indicated Thursday that he anticipates Sasser returning after dealing with left adductor tightness. The guard's expected availability should give Dallas another backcourt option for its final exhibition, though it's unclear whether he'll face any minutes restrictions.

Seth Lundy - Supplies 13 points in preseason loss Lundy closed with 13 points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one steal and one block over 22 minutes in Wednesday's 101-97 preseason loss to the Pelicans.

Impact Lundy was one of four Mavericks reserves to score in double figures, while none of the starters reached that mark. The Penn State product has appeared in all three preseason contests, but Wednesday marked his first game with multiple made field goals. Signed to a training-camp deal, Lundy is competing for a spot on Dallas' roster.

Tobi Lawal - Nets 16 points in preseason loss Lawal logged 16 points (4-6 FG, 8-8 FT), four rebounds, one steal and one block over 23 minutes in Wednesday's 101-97 preseason loss to New Orleans.

Impact Lawal put together a strong offensive effort, shooting efficiently from the field while converting all eight of his free-throw attempts. The rookie second-round pick has fared well in the preseason, scoring in double figures in two of three appearances. However, he's likely to see only limited minutes as a reserve forward during the regular season.

John Poulakidas - Active from deep Wednesday Poulakidas produced 16 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds and one block over 26 minutes in Wednesday's 101-97 preseason loss to New Orleans.

Impact Poulakidas was in a groove from beyond the arc, knocking down a game-high four triples. The Yale product appeared in 13 regular-season games with Dallas last season, averaging 8.8 points and 2.3 rebounds on 42.9 percent shooting from the field and 40.3 percent from three-point range in 19.5 minutes per contest. However, with Poulakidas signed to a two-way contract, he's likely to spend much of the regular season with the G League's Texas Legends.

Moussa Cisse - Tweaks ankle Wednesday Cisse exited Wednesday's 101-97 preseason loss to New Orleans due to a left ankle sprain.

Impact Cisse exited early, though Dallas head coach Dusty May downplayed the severity of the injury. "They said he tweaked an ankle and I don't think preseason is a reason to push it," May said, per source. As such, the Mavericks could opt to hold Cisse out of Friday's preseason finale against Atlanta.
