Lonzo Ball - Positive progress in rehab Bulls coach Billy Donovan is "very optimistic" about Ball's recovery but has not given a timetable for his return, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
Impact Ball has started running in water but hasn't begun basketball activities yet. It doesn't appear that Ball is ready to return anytime soon, but there is good reason to expect he won't miss the entire season. Ayo Dosunmu, Goran Dragic and Alex Caruso should continue to receive the majority of the backcourt minutes with Ball and Coby White (quadriceps) out.

Andre Drummond - Out indefinitely Drummond (shoulder) is without a timetable for a return, and per Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, it "could be days, could be a few weeks."
Impact In Drummond's absence, Patrick Williams and Javonte Green have seen the biggest increases in playing time. That will presumably continue to be the case.

Impact Drummond will now miss four straight games due to a sprained left shoulder. The 29-year-old center had been averaging nearly a double-double with 9.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 16.8 minutes throughout the first six games. With Drummond out, expect Patrick Williams and Nicola Vucevic to continue receiving extended minutes.

Zach LaVine - Grabs 10 points, six assists in win LaVine racked up 10 points (4-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt), four rebounds, six assists and two steals across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 106-88 win over Charlotte.
Impact The Bulls forward wasn't very effective from the field on Wednesday night, shooting just 2-of-7 in the first half before going 1-of-6 in the third quarter. He played a key role in getting the offense going early, dishing out three first-quarter assists - two of which went for three to help Chicago take a 27-26 lead to close out the period. It was the first time this season that LaVine started a game on back-to-back nights after coming into the season limited following his knee surgery back in May. His 10 points were a season-low after recording 19 or more points in all previous games coming in.

Nikola Vucevic - Posts 14 points, 13 rebounds in win Vucevic finished Wednesday's 106-88 win over the Hornets with 14 points (5-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and one block in 32 minutes.
Impact After going 4-of-10 from the field for 12 points in the first half, Vucevic would only add another two points in the second half on 1-of-6 shooting. He did, however, make up for it on the defensive end to the tune of seven second-half rebounds as the Bulls pulled away down the stretch. Vucevic now recorded 10 or more rebounds in each of his last three contests and in seven of nine games this season, while his 13 on Wednesday tied Mason Plumlee for a game-high.

Patrick Williams - Continues scoring surge Williams posted 16 points (7-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one block in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 106-88 win over the Hornets.
Impact Williams posted a season-high in points and minutes, beating his previous high in points from Tuesday's game. Williams has seemed to find his aggression, although he will need to get to the line more often if he wants to start scoring at an even higher rate.

Marko Simonovic - Sent down to G League The Bulls assigned Simonovic to the Windy City Bulls of the G League on Thursday.
Impact Simonovic has only played in one game this season, in which he failed to register a stat in two minutes of play. Simonovic's assignment is a good sign that Andre Drummond (shoulder) will return to the Bulls sooner rather than later.

Impact Dragic posted a season-high in points in the third-least minutes he's played in nine games this season. The 36-year-old veteran is averaging 9.4 points, 3.6 assists, and 1.7 rebounds in 17.4 minutes. While Dragic is unlikely to maintain his 53.6 percent shooting from three, he has been a key contributor with Lonzo Ball (knee) out.

Impact An initial report from Shams Charania of The Athletic suggested LaVine wouldn't take the floor Wednesday, but it appears his status has improved to the point where he was listed as questionable and ultimately will take part.
