Impact Max Verstappen held what looked like the pole-winning lap late in Q3, but then Piastri would knock him from atop the timing sheets in the closing moments. The young driver wouldn't hold that pole position long as Norris would storm through in his final lap to turn the best lap of the weekend at 1:15.095 putting him on P1 for Sunday's Australian Grand Prix. The McLaren star is the driver to beat Sunday at Albert Park.
