Crash and DNF in Azerbaijan Norris crashed and finished 19th in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Baku Street Circuit on Saturday afternoon.

Impact Slipping back to P7 by lap 16 indicated Norris had issues. A lack of pace would mire him in a mid-pack battle for half the race. On lap 36 it would all come undone for the McLaren star. A restart from a subsequent safety car would see Franco Colapinto lock up into turn 1 and make contact with several cars, including Norris. Three cars would DNF as a result of the incident and it would completely ruin Norris' race weekend.

Third in Spanish GP Norris finished third in the Spanish Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Madring Circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Impact The McLaren star started on the pole and held onto the lead in the chaotic opening laps. Norris then built a 6+ second lead over Kimi Antonelli by lap 14. Lance Stroll would stop on track at lap 15 and the VSC would be deployed. The timing was terrible as Norris had already passed the entrance to pit lane and would have to make a complete slow lap before pitting. This allowed his rivals to claim a cheap pit stop and put Norris back in the field. He would drop to P5 once he rejoined, but Norris would claw back through the field to claim a third-place finish by the checkered flag.

It was his third pole of the season and 19th of his F1 career. Norris will be a top contender to win Sunday in the inaugural event at the Madring Circuit.

Impact A very tough qualifying session would put Norris P8 on the starting grid. He would battle a straight line speed deficit that would really expose the McLaren on the long straights of Monza. Despite these challenges, Norris would gradually work his way through the field. On the final lap, he would make a thrilling overtake of teammate, Oscar Piastri, to secure P4 just before the checkered flag. It was a very good effort considering the challenges Norris faced.
