P4 at Silverstone Norris finished fourth in the British Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact It was a highly difficult and struggle-filled weekend for the reigning world champion. Norris would qualify P6 and then drop a spot on the opening lap due to a poor start. His car lacked enough downforce and pure pace to really attack the Silverstone circuit. However, some opportunistic strategy and three stops, with one coming under the safety car, would promote him back up the order. Norris would finish a strong P4 in the British Grand Prix despite some very obvious problems with the car.

P7 in Austrian Grand Prix Norris finished seventh in the Austrian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Norris would drop a spot on the opening lap to his teammate, Oscar Piastri. However, he would start his drive forward from there. Norris would climb to P2 by his opening pit stop on lap 21. With a two-stop strategy in play, Norris would be forced into unfavorable track position due to the flow of strategy. The McLaren star would have good pace though when running in clean air and he'd use that to track down and overtake Charles Leclerc late. Norris would collect a P7 finish at over 31-seconds behind race-winner George Russell.

Second Podium of the Season Norris finished third in the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Impact Norris would start fourth on the grid and would run a mistake-free race Sunday in Spain. The McLaren star would lack the pace of the Mercedes and Ferraris but keep close contact with the leaders throughout the grand prix. Norris would keep a firm grip on P4 until late in the race. With Kimi Antonelli's shocking retirement on lap 63, he would promote into third-place and take a strong podium in Barcelona. It was McLaren's first podium since early May and Norris' second podium of the season.

Mechanical Failure Norris suffered a mechanical failure and finished 19th in the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 race at The Circuit de Monaco on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Norris would start eighth on the grid and lose an early-race battle with Pierre Gasly. He would run a long opening stint and race his way up to P6 by lap 43. However, his McLaren would develop a problem and Norris would report a lack of power and slowing pace through the tunnel. The team would radio back and instruct Norris to box and retire the car due to a power unit and battery issue. It marked the second-consecutive retirement for Norris in what is becoming a tough season.

Electrical Failure in Practice Norris suffered an electrical failure in FP2 for the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 race and would see his session prematurely cut short on Friday.
Impact Before mid-way into the day's second practice on the streets of Monaco, Norris' McLaren machine would come to a halt in the Nouvelle Chicane. All instrumentation would go black and his car would stop dead in the water. The VSC was deployed so that track workers could roll the stricken car to a safe retreat. Norris will now be left short of practice time and dealing with an electrical issue ahead of Saturday's pole qualifying session.

Mechanical Failure Norris suffered a mechanical failure and finished 18th in the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Norris would opt for intermediate tyres to start the grand prix and that would be a strategic blunder. He would have to pit at the end of lap 2 and take on slick tyres for a quickly drying track. The lost track position would put Norris back to P14 after the pit stop. He would fight his way back to P8 later in the race but on lap 38 his McLaren machine would suffer a gearbox failure and pull to the side of the track. Norris would suffer the disappointing DNF and poor finish in Canada.

P2 in Canadian Sprint Norris finished second in the Canadian Sprint Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Saturday afternoon.
Impact Norris would show good speed and would be ready to pounce once the battle between George Russell and Kimi Antonelli sorted itself out. With Antonelli losing that battle, Norris would get around the young Mercedes driver for P2. The McLaren star would fend off all challenges from Antonelli, including a near-overtake on the penultimate lap. The podium result would reward Norris with 7 points in the Sprint.

Battles to P2 in Miami Norris finished second in the Miami Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Miami International Autodrome on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Fresh off the Sprint victory on Saturday, Norris was looking to sweep the weekend in Miami. He would start fourth on the grid and jump into a battle for the lead immediately from the lights out. The chaos of the opening turns would see Max Verstappen spin out of control and down the order and Norris would shore up P2. Norris would duel the entire race with Kimi Antonelli for control but it would come down to pit strategy and a Mercedes undercut that would put Norris on the backfoot. He would pursue the young driver to the checkered flag but come up 3.2-seconds short in P2.

Impact Norris started from the pole and got a great launch at the lights out. He'd carry his advantage thru turn 1 and never look back. The McLaren star would run out to a controlled advantage over PIastri and eventually cross the finish line 3.7-seconds ahead of his teammate for the victory in the Sprint. Norris has to be feeling very optimistic about his chances in Sunday's Miami Grand Prix.

Impact It's clear that the upgrades McLaren brought to Miami this week have been impactful. Norris advanced to SQ3 and was the class of the field in posting a lap of 1:27.869. He would be two-tenths clear of Antonelli and for now it looks like McLaren has caught up to Mercedes in terms of pace. Saturday's sprint will be Norris' to lose and we should learn a lot more about the various upgrades that teams have made over the past month.

Fast Start in Japan Norris finished fifth in the Japanese Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Suzuka Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Norris would get a great launch at the lights out and get around both Mercedes drivers before the opening corner. He would hold down P3 until George Russell would overtake him on lap 3 and push him back down the order. The McLaren star would be the first to pit for fresh rubber on lap 16 but that would be a critical mistake as the safety car would come out a few laps later. That would relegate Norris to P8 and he would spend the remainder of the day clawing his way back up into P5 by the checkered flag.

Two-Stop Strategy Norris finished fifth in the Australian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Albert Park Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Norris would start P6 on the grid and get jumped on the opening lap, falling back to P9 by his lap 11 pit exit. He would then set about making his drive back forward. The McLaren star would fall under extreme pressure from Max Verstappen during his second stint, however, Norris would hold him off. A second pit stop during the lap 34 VSC would set up Norris with medium tyres for the remaining 24 laps. He was too far behind the Ferrari's to run them down, but he would once again hold off Verstappen to secure a strong P5 in Australia.
