His car lacked enough downforce and pure pace to really attack the Silverstone circuit. Norris would finish a strong P4 in the British Grand Prix despite some very obvious problems with the car.

With a two-stop strategy in play, Norris would be forced into unfavorable track position due to the flow of strategy. The McLaren star would have good pace though when running in clean air and he'd use that to track down and overtake Charles Leclerc late. Norris would collect a P7 finish at over 31-seconds behind race-winner George Russell.
