Mechanical Failure Norris suffered a mechanical failure and finished 18th in the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Norris would lose P2 to Max Verstappen on the opening lap but he would soon regain that position a few laps later when Max Verstappen's soft tyres would fall off in pace. The McLaren star would ride P2 most of the way and mount a challenge to Oscar Piastri down the stretch for the win. However, with 8 laps to go his McLaren would start to puff smoke and Norris would report a problem over the radio. A power unit failure would bring out the safety car and bring Norris' day to an early end in the Dutch GP.

Fast Second Practice Norris set the pace again in Free Practice 2 for the Dutch Grand Prix, with the session interrupted by two red flags, Formula1.com reports.
Impact This session would be twice interrupted for crashes, but despite the stoppages Norris would continue to show his incredible pace at the Dutch track. Norris would eventually replace the leaders on medium tyre runs with his circuit of 1:09.890 on soft tyres. He would be just 0.087-seconds quicker than Fernando Alonso to sweep both practices Friday at Zandvoort. The McLaren star looks like the driver to beat in the Dutch Grand Prix.

Impact Dry and mild conditions would mark this opening practice at Zandvoort as Formula 1 swings back into action after the summer break. Medium tyre runs early would be replaced with softs for qualifying runs late in the session. Max Verstappen would set the early pace but he'd soon be replaced by Norris with his lap of 1:10.278. He was nearly three-tenths ahead of Piastri to lead this session. The McLaren star looks poised to challenge for another win this weekend at Zandvoort.

Impact Norris would start third on the grid and utilize a one-stop pit strategy to make up for his pace against the Ferrari. Charles Leclerc would lead the early laps but pit for fresh rubber and Norris would stay out to lap 31 and inherit the lead. He would hand the lead back over to Leclerc for a time but would soon take it again once Leclerc made his second stop. Norris would then hold off a furious charge from Piastri over the final laps to secure the win. It was his fifth victory of the season and third in the last four races.

Impact Other than a couple near-misses on track, this was largely an uneventful second practice in Hungary. Just past halfway teams would switch to soft rubber and look to lay down qualifying laps. Norris would once again jump to the top of the timing charts with a lap of 1:15.624. He would best Piastri by nearly three-tenths in this session to sweep both Friday practices in Budapest. The McLaren star looks poised for a big Sunday grand prix in Hungary.

Runner-up Finish at Spa Norris finished second in the Belgian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The race would start in wet conditions under the safety car and all drivers were initially on intermediate tyres. Once the safety car moved aside and the field was turned loose, Norris would surrender the lead to Oscar Piastri on lap 1 as the young driver made a bold power move around the outside. Norris would settle in and defend P2 the rest of the way. He'd use medium tyres to track down the one-stopping Piastri in the end, but would fall nearly 3.5-seconds short at the checkered flag.

Grabs Belgian GP Pole Norris will start the Belgian Grand Prix from pole position after going fastest of all in Qualifying, the McLaren driver beating team mate Oscar Piastri and Ferrari's Charles Lecle...
Impact Norris and Piastri would swap best laps throughout Q1 and Q2 but it would be Norris that would rise to the top of the leader board during Q3 by posting a lap time of 1:40.561. He would edge his teammate by just one-tenth to grab pole position at the Belgian road circuit. It's a front row lockout for McLaren and it will help Norris tremendously to fend off any lap 1 assault by Max Verstappen in Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.

Impact Wet conditions at the start would make for a lively grand prix on Sunday at Silverstone. Early race spins and rain returning at lap 11 would make this a strategy nightmare. However, Norris would manage the race well and get around a spinning Max Verstappen during a lap 20 restart. Oscar Piastri would lose the lead due to a 10-second penalty and that would promote Norris into the top spot on lap 44. He would manage the gap back to Piastri the rest of the way and master the challenging conditions to pick up the win. It was Norris' fourth victory of the season an first win at Silverstone.

Tops Practice 2 Norris finished fastest in Free Practice 2 for the British Grand Prix, the McLaren driver besting the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, Formula1.com reports.
Impact The Ferraris have shown great speed through both practices Friday at Silverstone. However, it would be Norris who would best them and rise to the top of FP2 at the British road course. He would log a lap of 1:25.816 to beat out Leclerc by two-tenths and Hamilton by three-tenths. McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, would be a close P4 in this practice. Norris looks like a strong contender to win Sunday's British Grand Prix.

Impact Norris would get away well at the lights out and his teammate Oscar Piastri would vault Charles Leclerc for second-place. The two McLarens would get away from the field and battle hotly for the lead in the early laps. Norris and Piastri had the clear pace and would separate themselves from the rest. Norris would do a good job keeping Piastri out of DRS range in the closing laps and would secure the win by just over 2.5-seconds. It was his third victory of the season.
