Cody Bradford - Moved to 60-day IL The Rangers transferred Bradford (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Impact Bradford has been working his way back from an internal brace procedure and made his first rehab start April 3, but his second outing has since been delayed, and his move to the 60-day IL suggests he isn't close to returning. He'll remain sidelined until at least late May, and he'll give up his place on the 40-man roster to help make room for Cal Quantrill and Gavin Collyer.

Cal Quantrill - Up from Triple-A The Rangers selected Quantrill's contract from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Quantrill has made three starts at Round Rock so far this year and owns a 5.14 ERA and 1.07 WHIP through 14 innings. The Rangers are short on bullpen arms after losing Chris Martin (biceps) and Luis Curvelo (shoulder) to the injured list Wednesday, so Quantrill could be tapped for long-relief duties while in the majors.

Gavin Collyer - Selected from Triple-A The Rangers selected Collyer's contract from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Collyer will come up from the minors to help fill the holes in Texas' bullpen left by Chris Martin (biceps) and Luis Curvelo (shoulder). The 24-year-old Collyer has started the Triple-A season strong, giving up just two runs over 6.2 innings while striking out 11 batters and walking two. He'll be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.

Luis Curvelo - Headed to injured list The Rangers placed Curvelo on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a right shoulder impingement, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Curvelo threw just two pitches Tuesday before leaving the game with an injury, and he's now set to miss at least the next 15 days as well. With Chris Martin (biceps) also landing on the IL on Wednesday, Gavin Collyer and Cal Quantrill will come up from the minors to fill the openings in Texas' pitching staff.

Chris Martin - Placed on injured list The Rangers placed Martin on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a bicep injury, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Martin was pulled from his appearance Tuesday after throwing just five pitches in one-third of an inning, and he'll now be held out of action for the rest of the month after suffering a biceps injury. He'll be joined on the injured list by Luis Curvelo (shoulder), and the Rangers will bring up Gavin Collyer and Cal Quantrill from Triple-A Round Rock to round out the active roster.

Jake Burger - Idle Wednesday Burger isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
Impact Burger will get a day to rest Wednesday after going 3-for-8 with two homers and five RBI through the first two games of the series. Joc Pederson will fill in for him at first base, moving Wyatt Langford into the DH spot while Ezequiel Duran patrols left field.

MacKenzie Gore - Battles control in loss Gore (2-1) took the loss against the Athletics on Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits and six walks while striking out five batters over 4.2 innings.
Impact It's somewhat impressive that Gore was able to emerge with just two runs allowed on his stat line given the six walks. The Rangers left six of the batters who reached against the lefty on base, but the two runs they scored against him were enough to get the victory. Gore hadn't previously had control problems this season -- he allowed a tolerable five walks over 16.1 innings across his first three starts -- but he did struggle with walks during the second half of last year, so it's something to keep an eye on. His overall 3.00 ERA and 30:11 K:BB through 21 frames to begin the campaign remain promising.
