Impact Paredes now has eight home runs through 20 games this month, including three in his last three contests. He's up to 21 long balls on the year, a new career high. Tyler Glasnow - Punches out eight in win Glasnow (5-3) earned the win Monday, allowing a run on three hits and two walks over seven innings against the Yankees. He struck out eight.
Impact Glasnow now has eight or more strikeouts in six of his last seven starts while pitching to a 2.08 ERA in that span. The 29-year-old right-hander has returned to elite form after missing the first two months of the season with an oblique injury. Overall, Glasnow's ERA is down to 3.15 with a 1.08 WHIP and 96:22 K:BB across 12 starts (68.2 innings) this season. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Tigers this weekend in his next outing.

Impact Thompson has split time pretty evenly between Triple-A and the majors this season. He has a 3.26 ERA and 61.4 percent groundball rate in 19.1 innings at Triple-A and a 6.11 ERA in 17.2 innings in the big leagues. He should work in low-leverage situations.

Impact The Rays traded for Aaron Civale on Monday, which gives them four starters to use in the short term, not including Bradley. Manager Kevin Cash said Bradley handled the news well and that they hope he'll be back up at some point. Aaron Civale - Lands in Tampa Bay The Rays acquired Civale from the Guardians on Monday in exchange for first baseman Kyle Manzardo (undisclosed), Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Tampa Bay will surrender one of its top position prospects in Manzardo to bolster its injury-laden rotation with the addition of Civale, who is under club control through 2025 and has quietly performed as a frontline starter since making his return from the 15-day injured list June 2. Over his final 11 starts with Cleveland, Civale submitted a 2.24 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 50:20 K:BB in 64.1 innings. Though most of Civale's underlying numbers this season (3.67 xERA, 3.55 FIP) suggest that he's pitching over his head, his stellar control and command have long helped him make up for a lack of swing-and-miss stuff. He made his last start with Cleveland on Sunday, so he's unlikely to make his Rays debut until this weekend's series in Detroit.

Zack Littell - Goes five frames, nabs win Littell (1-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on eight hits over five innings against the Astros. He struck out four.
Impact Though Sunday's game was expected to be a bullpen day for the Rays, Littell managed to last five innings and was stretched out to 82 pitches after having thrown fewer than three innings in all but one of his appearances this season. Despite allowing eight hits, Littell held the Astros scoreless heading into the fifth, where he allowed back-to-back singles and a double during a two-run inning. Considering the Rays are battling a multitude of injuries in their starting rotation, they may continue to stretch Littell out if he proves to be a reliable innings eater.
