Back in majors Johnson was recalled from Cleveland's satellite camp prior to Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Impact One of Cleveland's top big-league ready prospects, Johnson saw a couple starts in the first week of the season before being optioned down Tuesday. He gets to come up just one day later with Roberto Perez (shoulder) landing on the injured list. Johnson has an intriguing blend of power and speed, but he will need to start getting steady playing time to become relevant in mixed leagues.

To IL with shoulder injury Perez (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Impact He has been dealing with a sore right shoulder and it's apparently serious enough for him to sit for at least 10 days. In the meantime, Sandy Leon will act as the primary catcher while Beau Taylor takes on the backup duties.

Impact The 31-year-old apparently sustained the injury during Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader, though he was never removed from the contest. Sandy Leon started the nightcap -- and was likely to do so regardless of any injury-- but Cleveland did call up Beau Taylor to bolster the team's catching depth. Perez's status is expected to be updated Wednesday.
