Eury Pérez - Hit hard in no-decision
Perez did not factor into the decision, allowing five earned runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.1 innings Thursday against Atlanta. He struck out one.
Impact
Entering Thursday, Perez had been dominant across his previous six outings, posting a 1.06 ERA with 37 strikeouts. However, he struggled to miss bats in this one, managing just one punchout while getting tagged for a season high in earned runs. The 22-year-old will look to rebound and recapture his sharp form in his next scheduled start, lined up for next week against the Guardians.

Dane Myers - Losing work to Johnston
Myers isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta.
Impact
Myers will miss a third consecutive start Thursday, as it seems the Marlins have begun to prefer starting Troy Johnston in right field. Myers' slide down the depth chart likely has something to do with the fact that he's slashed just .083/.170/.146 with 17 strikeouts across 53 plate appearances since the All-Star break.

Heriberto Hernández - Goes yard against Astros
Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's win over Houston.
Impact
The 25-year-old took Spencer Arrighetti deep in the third inning, staking the Marlins to an early 5-1 lead they wouldn't relinquish. Hernandez has six homers in his first 42 big-league games, and three of them have come since July 26, a stretch in which he's batting .250 (7-for-28) with six runs and seven RBI.

Graham Pauley - Pops second homer
Pauley went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over Houston.
Impact
The third baseman took Hector Neris deep in the fifth inning. Pauley has two homers on the season for the Marlins, but both have come in the last seven games, and since the All-Star break he's batting .278 (10-for-36) with three RBI and five runs. Connor Norby (wrist) still lacks a firm timeline for his return, but Pauley is beginning to make a case to keep the starting job at third base regardless of when Norby gets activated.

Jakob Marsee - Nabs first big-league steal
Marsee went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Astros.
Impact
One game after clubbing his first big-league homer, Marsee flashed the other side of his skill set with his first MLB steal. The latter category is the one he's likely to make the bigger impact in -- prior to his promotion, he had 14 home runs and 46 stolen bases over 98 Triple-A contests -- but the 24-year-old has provided all-around production since being called up by the Marlins, batting .438 (7-for-16) in his first six games with five total extra-base hits, three runs and three RBI.

AgustĂn RamĂrez - Swipes two bags in win
Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases in Wednesday's win over the Astros.
Impact
The rookie backstop is heating up again. Ramirez is batting .290 (9-for-31) over the last eight games, but he's doing more damage with his legs than his bat, swiping five of his seven bags on the season during that span while adding two homers, three runs and five RBI. The 23-year-old showed speed as well as power in the minors, including a 17-for-18 performance on the basepaths over 97 games between Double-A and Triple-A in 2024, and despite not getting called up by the Marlins until late April, Ramirez is on track for a 20-10 campaign in his MLB debut.

ROTOWIRE
Xavier Edwards - Four hits in Wednesday's win
Edwards went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Astros.
Impact
The switch-hitting infielder set the table for the Marlins in a 6-4 victory, delivering his seventh multi-hit performance in 18 games since the All-Star break. Over that stretch, Edwards is slashing .342/.400/.466 with five doubles, two triples, two steals, five RBI and 14 runs, and he's two pilfers away from reaching 20 for the second straight campaign.

Jack Winkler - Sent outright to Triple-A
The Marlins outrighted Winkler to Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday.
Impact
He's no longer on the 40-man roster, but Winkler will remain in the organization as infield depth. The 26-year-old has gone 2-for-12 at the plate during a couple brief stints at the big-league level this season.

Lake Bachar - Secures second save
Bachar allowed one hit and no walks in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Wednesday against the Astros. He struck out one.
Impact
It was interesting to see closer Calvin Faucher work the eighth inning in a 6-4 game, which allowed Bachar to enter in the ninth and nab his second save of the year. It's difficult to gauge if Bachar will see additional save opportunities going forward, but Faucher likely remains the favorite to handle those situations. That said, Bachar does sport a 3.22 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 57:22 K:BB through 50.1 innings.

Janson Junk - Up and down in sixth win
Junk (6-2) recorded the win Wednesday against the Astros, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out two.
Impact
Junk gave up a pair of runs in the opening frame but was able to settle down afterwards, tossing four innings of one-run ball the rest of the way. Although the right-hander is without a quality start in any his last four outings, he's pitched at least five innings in seven consecutive appearances. Junk will take a solid 3.97 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 50:8 K:BB across 70.1 innings into his next scheduled start, which is set to come in Cleveland against the Guardians.
