Impact Castillo posted a 4.07 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 24.1 innings over his first four starts in June but has turned things around since then by logging quality starts in each of his last three appearances. He's recorded a 0.45 ERA and 25:5 K:BB in 20 innings during that time but has picked up just one win over those three starts. The right-hander projects to make his next start on the road against St. Louis next Friday.

Impact Castillo continued his solid 2022 campaign with another consistent performance that saw him throw more than 100 pitches for the sixth straight game. The workhorse didn't get the win as he was matched up against Charlie Morton, who dealt seven scoreless innings, but he did enough to keep his team in the game, and the Reds won on a walk-off single in the ninth. Castillo now has a 66:22 K:BB over 64 innings this season. Castillo is expected to make his next start Friday against Tampa Bay.

Impact Castillo didn't seem to have the best feel for his changeup early on, but he was able to overpower Chicago with the heater -- in fact, all 11 of his punchouts were via the fastball. Overall, Castillo induced 23 swinging strikes on 123 pitches. While he missed time at the start of the season with a shoulder injury and has hit a few small bumps in the road since his return, Castillo will undoubtedly be a popular target for contending teams at the trade deadline.

He has struck out at least six batters in five of his last six outings, posting a 3.31 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 37:14 K:BB through 35.1 innings over that stretch, and Castillo seems just about back to top form after his delayed start to the campaign due to a sore shoulder.
