Impact Allen joined the Rockies on a minor-league deal last August but didn't join the major-league club during his tenure with the organization. The 26-year-old posted a 7.20 ERA and 20.9 WHIP in 45 innings over 24 relief appearances at Triple-A Albuquerque to begin the year and will now attempt to seek out other opportunities.

Handling relief role at Triple-A Allen has submitted a 6.87 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB across 18.1 innings through nine appearances with Triple-A Albuquerque this season.

Impact Though he made six starts for Albuquerque in 2022 after signing a minor-league deal with the Rockies last August, Allen has worked in a full-time relief role thus far in 2023. With big-league rotation members German Marquez (elbow) and Noah Davis (elbow) recently moving to the injured list, however, the Rockies have been forced to dip into their pitching depth at the Triple-A level. With that in mind, it's possible Allen gets stretched out at Albuquerque and ends up entering the Triple-A rotation at some point, but his unremarkable results in relief thus far in addition to his lack of a 40-man roster spot will work against him in his hopes of resurfacing in the majors.

Impact After being cast off the 40-man roster in May, Allen stuck in the Baltimore organization and had since been working in a relief role at Triple-A Norfolk. The 25-year-old didn't find much success in that capacity and will now look for work elsewhere after compiling an 8.51 ERA and 2.03 WHIP across 24.1 innings at Triple-A.

Impact The Orioles claimed Allen off waivers from the Guardians in early May, but he spent less than two weeks on the roster before being designated for assignment yet again. No one else wanted him this time around, so he'll remain as organizational depth for Baltimore.

During his time with the Orioles, the 24-year-old made three appearances out of the bullpen and gave up two earned runs on three hits and two walks over 1.2 innings. If he goes unclaimed off waivers this time around, Allen will stick in the Baltimore organization and report to Norfolk.
