Homers again Monday Hiura went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, four RBI and two runs in Monday's 14-4 win over the Cubs.
Impact Hiura took Trevor Megill deep in the eighth inning. At that point in the inning, the Brewers were putting on a show and beating up on Megill, who allowed six runs without recording a single out. The 24-year-old has struggled this season, slashing .160/.243/.320 in 142 plate appearances. However, he was recently called up again due to multiple injuries in Milwaukee's infield, and he's responded with three home runs in his last four games.

Plates three runs in win Hiura went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Rockies.
Impact Hiura got the Brewers on the board in the third with a solo shot to left center for his second home run in four games since being recalled from Triple-A Nashville. The 24-year-old later stepped up to the plate with two men on and delivered with a two-run double to pad their lead at 5-0. It's encouraging to see Hiura making hard contact after he struggled mightily to start the year. Before his most recent call up, he was slashing .130/.217/.222 with a home run, five RBI, nine runs scored, a stolen base and an 8:48 BB:K. He's now hit safely in each of his last three games and has five RBI over that span. Sunday's performance is one Hiura can build on as he continues to find his groove at the plate. He should see regular playing time at first base after Daniel Vogelbach went down with a hamstring strain during the week.

Homers in series opener Hiura went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two strikeouts in Friday's 5-4 win over the Rockies.
Impact Hiura put the Brewers on the board with his second home run of the season in the seventh inning Friday, and he drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 11th. The 24-year-old nearly went yard in his return to the major-league lineup Wednesday, and he should have plenty of chances to bounce back from his early struggles in 2021 since Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring) is slated to miss approximately six weeks.

Officially recalled, starting Hiura was recalled by the Brewers on Wednesday.
Impact Hiura spent just over two weeks with Triple-A Nashville, but he'll return to the big-league club and should serve as the primary first baseman after Daniel Vogelbach suffered a "significant" hamstring strain and was placed on the 10-day injured list. The 24-year-old brought his strikeout rate down to 25.5 percent in his most recent minor-league stint, and he'll attempt to translate his Triple-A success to production at the top level. Hiura will bat sixth and play first base against Arizona on Wednesday.

Promotion official The Brewers recalled Hiura from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.
Impact Hiura mostly served as a short-side platoon player at first base in his last stint with the big club that ran from late May through early June, going 2-for-29 with 16 strikeouts before he was sent back to the minors. The 24-year-old has resumed raking since returning to Nashville (1.065 OPS, 25.5 percent strikeout rate in 11 games), and the Brewers could envision Hiura taking on a full-time role as he returns to Milwaukee as a replacement for his former platoon mate, Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Hiura will join the lineup for Wednesday's series finale in Arizona, batting sixth versus Diamondbacks southpaw Caleb Smith.

Call-up expected Hiura is expected to be called up by the Brewers in the near future, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Impact Hiura was sent down by the Brewers on June 7, and manager Craig Counsell said that he expected the infielder to have a lengthy stint at Triple-A Nashville. However, he performed well in 11 minor-league games and slashed .375/.490/.575 with two home runs, two doubles, seven RBI and six runs while posting a 25.5 percent strikeout rate and 17.6 percent walk rate. While the 24-year-old has struggled in the big leagues this season, he should see ample playing time with Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring) sidelined.

Quick return not expected Manager Craig Counsell said Tuesday that Hiura may be in store for a longer stint at Triple-A Nashville than his previous demotion this season, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact The 24-year-old was optioned to Nashville on Monday after going 2-for-29 with 16 strikeouts for Milwaukee following his three-week stint in the minors. Hiura may not rejoin the Brewers until after the All-Star break, and it wouldn't be surprising to see some tweaks to his swing mechanics given his 39.3 percent strikeout rate.

Optioned to Triple-A Hiura was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.
Impact Hiura had been out of the lineup in three of the last four games, and he'll now return to the minors. He appeared in 11 games for the Brewers after he was called back up May 24, but he hit just .069 with a double, a run, two walks and 16 strikeouts during that time. Daniel Vogelbach should continue to serve as the primary first baseman going forward.

Riding pine Saturday Hiura isn't starting Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Impact Hiura will be out of the lineup for a third straight game with right-hander Merrill Kelly starting Saturday. Luis Urias will take over at second base and lead off.

Out of lineup again Friday Hiura is not in the starting lineup Friday against Arizona.
Impact Despite Kolten Wong (oblique) landing on the 10-day injured list earlier Friday, Hiura will remain out of the lineup against right-hander Matt Peacock. Luis Urias will play second base and bat leadoff.
JUNE 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting against righty Hiura is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Impact Hiura had started at first base in six of the Brewers' last seven games, but that was largely a byproduct of Milwaukee facing a heavy schedule of left-handed starting pitchers. Even with the platoon advantage often being in his favor, Hiura hasn't been able to do much at the plate since returning from Triple-A Nashville on May 24. In his first week and a half back with the big club, Hiura has gone 1-for-23 with 13 strikeouts. He'll likely continue to fill a short-side platoon role with the lefty-hitting Daniel Vogelbach, who gets the nod at first base Thursday.
