Wednesday's game postponed Berrios won't start as scheduled Wednesday in Baltimore since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.
Impact The Blue Jays have an off day Thursday but the Orioles do not, so the game won't be made up until early September. According to Hazel Mae of Sportsnet, Berrios will simply be pushed back to start Friday's series opener versus the Guardians.

Can't escape fourth inning Berrios allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one over 3.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Friday.
Impact Berrios gave up two home runs, though he initially stayed in the game after Nick Gordon's three-run blast in the fourth inning. The right-hander put two more runners on base before exiting. This is the sixth time Berrios has failed to complete five innings in a start, and it was his worst outing since he yielded eight runs to the Brewers on June 26. Through 118 innings overall, the 28-year-old has a mediocre 5.19 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP and 107:29 K:BB. He'll look to put this bad outing behind him in a projected road start in Baltimore next week.

Stellar in win Berrios (8-4) earned the victory Sunday over Detroit, striking out six in seven innings while allowing a run on three hits and a walk.
Impact Berrios was highly efficient Sunday, needing just 80 pitches to complete the seven frames. The lone mark against him came on a Javier Baez solo homer to lead off the fourth inning. Following that blast, he retired 12 of the last 13 batters he faced. Berrios has been up-and-down all season but put together a solid July, going 3-0 and posting a 3.00 ERA and 42:7 K:BB across 36 innings in six starts. His next start will likely be next weekend in Minnesota.

Just short of quality start Berrios pitched 5.2 innings, surrendering three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals. He did not factor into the decision.
Impact Berrios surrendered a solo home run to Dylan Carlson in the first inning before giving up two more runs in top of the third frame. The right-hander was later removed with two outs in the sixth inning after he allowed a second baserunner to reach. After surrendering 14 runs over 6.2 frames in his last two starts of June, Berrios has produced a 3.41 ERA with 36 strikeouts over 29 innings in five starts in July. The strong month has his season numbers down to a 5.20 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with 100 punchouts over 107.1 frames in 20 outings.

Quality start vs. Royals Berrios gave up two earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out seven in 6.1 innings Sunday against the Royals. He did not factor in the decision.
Impact Berrios logged his third straight quality start against a depleted Royals lineup. While Berrios' season ERA is 5.22, he has not given up more than three earned runs and has not pitched fewer than five innings in any of his last eight home starts. His road struggles will likely be put to the test next weekend in Boston.

Strikes out 13 for win Berrios (7-4) gave up three earned runs on six hits and no walks while striking out 13 over six innings to earn the win in a 4-3 victory over the Phillies on Tuesday.
Impact Berrios matched his season-high strikeout total en route to his second quality start in a row and his seventh win of the campaign. The 28-year-old right-hander had struggled immensely over the first three months of the season since signing a contract extension with the Blue Jays in the off-season. Even with this performance against the Phillies, Berrios has a bloated 5.38 ERA on the year and it will take many more quality outings to bring his numbers back down to where they had consistently been from 2017 to 2021. His 20 swings-and-misses over six frames show that he has the stuff to take his game to another level if he can put it all together.

Lines up for two-start week Berrios will start Tuesday in the first contest of the Blue Jays' two-game series with the Phillies in Toronto, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.
Impact Toronto held out hope that Kevin Gausman (ankle) would be ready to go for its first game of the week, but the right-hander apparently needs at least one more day to heal up from his injury. Due to an off day Monday, the Blue Jays will be able to turn to Berrios, who takes the hill on five days' rest. He'll tentatively line up for a two-start week, with his second turn set to come Sunday at home against the Royals in the Blue Jays' final game before the All-Star break.

Quality start Wednesday Berrios pitched six innings, surrendering one run on four hits and a walk while striking out six in Wednesday's win over the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.
Impact Berrios was very effective in this one, tossing five scoreless innings to open the outing. The only blemish on his line came in the bottom of the sixth inning via a solo homer by Ramon Laureano. Berrios has now produced two strong starts in a row following two clunkers, giving up three runs over 11 innings while striking out nine. The 28-year-old is tentatively set to pitch again Tuesday against the Phillies.

Bounces back with win Berrios (6-4) picked up the win Friday against the Rays, allowing two runs on eight hits in five innings, striking out three while walking two.
Impact Berrios had allowed 14 runs in 6.2 innings across his previous two starts, so Friday's performance counts as a very encouraging one despite his low strikeout total. He was far from dominant, as he didn't record a single clean inning, but he worked out of enough jams to get the job done. He'll look to take another bite out of his 5.72 ERA in Oakland on Wednesday.

Rough outing in loss Berrios (5-4) took the loss to the Brewers on Sunday, allowing eight runs on eight hits while striking out one and walking two across 2.2 innings.
Impact It was another rough outing for Berrios as he allowed eight runs in 2.2 innings just one game after allowing six runs in four innings. Berrios threw 42 of 66 pitches for strikes in Sunday's contest. The righty has allowed three or more earned runs in nine of 15 appearances this season and possesses a 5.86 ERA.

Allows three homers in loss Berrios (5-3) took the loss against the White Sox on Monday, yielding six runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out one batter over four innings.
Impact Berrios was in constant trouble throughout the outing, as he allowed multiple baserunners and at least one run in each of his four frames. Three of the hits against him left the yard, and he managed only two swinging strikes among his 72 pitches. Berrios had been pitching well coming into the contest, recording three straight quality starts and striking out 26 batters over 22 innings during that stretch. Monday's blowup pushed the right-hander's ERA up to 5.11 on the campaign, third-worst among qualified big-league starters.
