Swats homer in second game Fry went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 5-3 loss to the Diamondbacks in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Impact Fry didn't play in the first game, but he started at first base in the second contest. The homer was his second over six games in August after he had just one extra-base hit, a double, in all of July. The 28-year-old has cooled off dramatically since his hot start to the year, but he still has a .275/.375/.447 slash line with 10 homers, 39 RBI, 36 runs scored, four stolen bases and 14 doubles over 89 contests. Fry hasn't been strictly platooned, but he's not an everyday option versus right-handed pitchers.
