Ryan Pressly - Works in non-save situation Pressly walked one and struck out two over a scoreless ninth inning in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Rockies.
Impact Pressly, who hadn't pitched in four days, entered in a non-save situation and shut the door on Colorado. All three of his appearances since coming off the paternity list have been of the non-save variety. All three featured the combination of Ryne Stanek (seventh inning), Kendall Graveman (eighth) and Pressly (ninth). The once-beleaguered Astros bullpen has become boring of late, which is fine by manager Dusty Baker. That trio of relievers have combined to pitch 13.1 scoreless innings with four hits, two walks and 19 strikeouts since the trade deadline.

Carlos Correa - Delivers run in win Correa went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Rockies.
Impact Correa added insurance in the seventh inning when he doubled home Michael Brantley, who had singled before him. The shortstop has reached base safely in eight straight contests. Correa is slashing .271/.364/.477 with 18 home runs and 61 RBI over 104 games in the midst of a contract year.

Jake Meyers - Notches first career steal Meyers went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over Colorado.
Impact The 25-year-old hasn't seen much playing time since his ascension to the big-league roster July 30, but he made a spot start in right field to give Kyle Tucker rest Wednesday. In the sixth inning, Meyers got aboard with a single, stole second and scored on a Martin Maldonado sacrifice fly. Meyers is now 2-for-10 with a double, a steal and two runs scored across six games. With a .343/.408/.598 slash line, 16 home runs and 10 stolen bases at Triple-A Sugar Land this year, he appears to have put together a blend of power and speed that he hadn't shown in his first three years of minor-league ball.

Michael Brantley - Scores twice in win Brantley went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over Colorado.
Impact All three of the outfielder's hits were singles, and he was able to cross the plate in the first and seventh innings. Brantley has posted a trio of three-hit efforts in his last 13 games. He's been highly effective at the plate with a .332 batting average and .865 OPS through 390 plate appearances. The 34-year-old has added seven home runs, 38 RBI, 58 runs scored and a stolen base in 91 games.
