Kyle Karros - Two knocks against A's Karros went 2-for-4 with a run scored Friday against the Athletics.

Impact Karros has been elevated up the Rockies' lineup in each of the last two games against lefties, hitting second on each occasion. He responded with a pair of hits Friday, his fifth multi-hit effort in his last 11 games. Karros has hit .343 with four doubles, two RBI and seven runs scored in that span, one of his more productive stretches of the campaign.

Braxton Fulford - Picks up steal in loss Fulford went 1-for-2 with a stolen base in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Athletics.

Impact Fulford continues to fill a short-side platoon role at designated hitter while adding some extra depth at catcher. His playing time is limited even when he starts, as he's often lifted for a pinch hitter once a right-hander takes the mound for the opposition. Fulford is batting .222 with a .660 OPS, three steals, one home run, four RBI and seven runs scored over 31 plate appearances this season.

Cole Carrigg - Homers again Friday Carrigg went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Athletics.

Impact Carrigg has been a magnet for extra-base hits so far with two homers and a triple among his four hits over his first four major-league games. He's added four RBI and a 1:4 BB:K. Carrigg is getting a look in center field while Jake McCarthy (illness) is out. Carrigg could stick around for a bit as Brenton Doyle (oblique), Jordan Beck (hamstring), Tyler Freeman (concussion) and Mickey Moniak (ankle) are not close to returning from the injured list, leaving the Rockies' outfield thin.

Impact Agnos returned to the bullpen after making a start versus the Brewers last Saturday. The 25-year-old was responsible for the Athletics' two-run frames in the sixth and eighth innings. With a 7.80 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 30:18 K:BB through 42.2 innings over 18 appearances (two starts), Agnos probably won't get many more chances to start. Sean Sullivan was called up Friday to make his big-league debut and tossed three scoreless innings before leaving the game due to an illness, but the last spot in the Rockies' rotation will likely go to either Sullivan until Tanner Gordon (hip) is ready to return.

Ezequiel Tovar - Scratched Friday Tovar was scratched from the lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics due to lower left leg soreness, Kevin Henry of The Denver Gazette reports.

Impact Tovar took a foul ball off his leg during Sunday's contest and will now take a seat while he deals with some lingering soreness. Willi Castro will shift to shortstop as a result, opening up second base for Chad Stevens.

Chase Dollander - Trending toward surgery Manager Warren Schaeffer said Friday that Dollander will likely undergo surgery to repair the UCL in his right elbow, Kevin Henry of The Denver Gazette reports.

Impact The Rockies were originally optimistic that Dollander would avoid surgery after landing on the IL in May with a sprained elbow, but things appear to have taken a turn after a month of rest. The 24-year-old was transferred to the 60-day IL on Friday and will almost certainly be ruled out for the remainder of the season once he goes under the knife.

Impact Carrigg achieved a milestone in the fourth inning, when he cranked a 418-foot blast to right field for his first major-league long ball.
