Mike Moustakas - On bench Monday Mousakas (heel) won't start Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Impact Moustakas left Saturday's game against the Marlins with a tight right hip and didn't appear in Sunday's contest, though it's unclear if that's the reason he remains out Monday. He's been platooning with Eugenio Suarez at third base, so he was always likely to sit Monday against lefty Jon Lester. Whether or not Moustakas will return Tuesday against righty Miles Mikolas remains to be seen.

Tucker Barnhart - Sitting against lefty Barnhart is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Impact The lefty-hitting Barnhart will remain on the bench for the second game in a row while the Cardinals bring a southpaw (Jon Lester) to the hill. Barnhart's platoon mate, Tyler Stephenson, will start at catcher and bat second in the series opener.

Max Schrock - Sits against lefty Schrock is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Impact Schrock will remain on the bench for the second straight game while the Reds oppose another lefty starting pitcher (Jon Lester), but the 26-year-old appears to have captured a strong-side platoon role in left field with Jesse Winker (intercostal) on the injured list. Aristides Aquino will fill in for Schrock on Monday.
