Struck by foul ball
Woo (leg) is expected to make his scheduled start Saturday against the Astros after being struck by a foul ball Thursday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Impact
Woo was struck by the ball in the eighth inning and immediately went into the clubhouse to be evaluated. The injury doesn't appear to be serious, but manager Dan Wilson did note Woo's leg was swollen. For now, Woo's status for Saturday's start isn't in jeopardy, but his status will be worth monitoring.

Gets back in win column
Woo (5-1) allowed a run on five hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win Sunday over the Padres.
Impact
Woo turned in another fantastic outing, with the lone run coming early on a Fernando Tatis solo shot to lead off the bottom of the first inning. Woo has allowed one run or fewer in five of his nine outings this season, and this was his seventh quality start. It was also the third time in four starts in May he hasn't issued a walk, as he continues to dominate with control. Woo is at a 2.65 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 55:8 K:BB through 57.2 innings this season. His next start is projected to be on the road versus the Astros.

Fires 6.1 shutout innings Tuesday
Woo didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Yankees after allowing four hits and no walks in 6.1 shutout innings. He struck out six.
Impact
Woo fanned at least six in his fourth consecutive start, submitting his second scoreless outing of the year in the process. The hard-throwing right-hander has fired at least six innings while conceding two runs or fewer in five of his eight appearances this season, also yielding one walk or less in six of his starts. Woo holds a stellar 2.84 ERA, 0.89 ERA and 50:8 K:BB across 50.2 innings ahead of his next scheduled outing against the White Sox, who rank last in batting average (.214) and slugging percentage (.321) through their first 41 games.

Rebounds after rough first
Woo did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the A's. He allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings.
Impact
The A's got to Woo early Wednesday, scoring three runs on four hits in the first inning. However, the right-hander would settle in and allow just two runs over his final five frames. While the eight hits and five runs allowed are both season highs, Woo's managed to deliver six or more innings in each of his first seven starts this year. His ERA now sits at 3.25 with a 0.92 WHIP and 44:8 K:BB across 44.1 innings. Woo is currently slated to face the Yankees at home in his next outing.

Stellar in win over Rangers
Woo (4-1) allowed one hit and struck out eight without walking a batter over 6.1 scoreless innings to earn the win Friday over the Rangers.
Impact
Woo retired the first 14 batters he faced and ended with 64 of 87 pitches landing for strikes in the dominant outings. This was his fourth straight quality start and his fifth such performance in six starts overall. Woo has a 2.58 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 38:7 K:BB over 38.1 innings. He showed plenty of potential over 121.1 innings in 2024, and he's arguably been even more reliable in 2025, which is especially valuable for a rotation missing George Kirby (shoulder) and Logan Gilbert (elbow). Woo's next start is projected to be a road outing versus the Athletics next week.
