Dominates Tigers for first win
Singer (1-2) allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks while striking out eight across seven innings to earn the win Saturday against the Tigers.
Impact
Singer's lone blemish was a solo home run off the bat of Willi Castro in the fifth inning. He cruised through the Tigers' lineup otherwise, generating 15 swinging strike across 93 total pitches. Since surrendering five earned runs during his first start of the season, Singer has allowed only two earned runs across 18 innings. He projects to take his next turn through the rotation Friday at Minnesota.

No-decision Sunday
Singer tossed six scoreless innings Sunday against the Blue Jays, allowing two hits and three walks while fanning six. He didn't factor into the decision.
Impact
Singer delivered his best outing of the campaign and limited the Blue Jays to just five baserunners -- only two of them reached scoring position and no one reached third base. The 24-year-old right-hander endured a rough debut this season but has settled since then, giving up just one earned run and posting a 12:3 K:BB over his last 11 innings.

Falls to 0-2
Singer (0-2) was charged with four runs (one earned) on seven hits over five innings in a loss to the Angels on Monday. He struck out six and did not issue a walk.
Impact
Errors kept most of the runs off Singer's personal ledger, although it was Singer himself who committed one of the throwing errors in the second inning. Singer has an unsightly 6.48 ERA through two starts this season, but his 11:3 K:BB in 8.1 innings is encouraging. He lines up for a home start against the Blue Jays this weekend.
