Impact Civale opened with four scoreless frames before surrendering a solo home run to Brandon Marsh in the fifth. The 29-year-old has gone 5-0 over his past seven outings while completing at least five innings in six of them. Impact Civale was given an early 2-0 lead after the Brewers piled on four hits in the opening frame. He gave a run of his own in the bottom of the first and then went on to retire 13 of the next 14 batters he faced before Mike Yastrzemski opened up the sixth inning with a solo home run. Civale was pulled after just 68 pitches, but the Brewers were able to hang on to get him his fourth win in his last six starts. He's now 4-2 with a 3.84 ERA in 11 starts for Milwaukee compared to 2-6 with a 5.07 ERA in 17 starts for the Rays. For the year, Civale owns a 4.57 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 136:47 K:BB in 145.2 innings and lines up for a tough road matchup against the Diamondbacks this weekend.

Impact The Brewers struck for five runs in the second inning and never looked back, but Civale couldn't stick around long enough to pick up the easy win, tossing 50 of 82 pitches for strikes before getting the hook. The right-hander has completed at least five innings in only three of six starts since the All-Star break, posting a 4.50 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and mediocre 22:12 K:BB through 30 innings over that stretch, but Milwaukee doesn't have any better healthy options for his rotation spot.
