NCAA Men's, Women's Basketball Tournament Highlights: Arizona, Illinois Final Four Bound

The Sweet 16 continued Saturday for the 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, while the Elite Eight round of the 2026 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament got under way in an action-packed day of college hoops.

On the men's side, No. 3 seed Illinois outlasted No. 9 seed Iowa to advance. To close it out, No. 1 seed Arizona beat No. 2 seed Purdue to make its first Final Four since 2001.

On the women's side, No. 2 seed Michigan began the day by defeating No. 3 seed Louisville, while No. 1 seed Texas took care of business against No. 5 seed Kentucky and fellow No. 1 seed South Carolina crushed No. 4 seed Oklahoma. Closing out the night, No. 3 seed TCU defeated No. 10 seed Virginia.
