Nathanial Vakos - Will open season as starting kicker Vakos will open the season as Wisconsin's starting kicker, per John Steppe of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Impact Vakos was in a battle with Gavin Lahm, Wisconsin's kickoff specialist, for the starting field goal kicker spot all offseason. While they're listed as an "Or" on the depth chart, head coach Luke Fickell confirmed that Vakos would open the season as the starting kicker. Vakos had a down year in 2024, hitting just 12-of-19 field goal attempts.

Impact Mason had a strong fall camp to position himself well to be the starter, but he's listed alongside Acker in that TE1 spot in Madison. New offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes loves to use tight ends and extra tight end packages like 12, 13 personnel, and Mason figures to be the receiving threat while Acker projects as more of an in-line player.
