Penn's Watson added to Senior Bowl
(STATS) - A day before former Penn wide receiver Justin Watson plays in the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday, he accepted another all-star game invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl.
The 2017 STATS FCS first-team All-American holds Penn's career records in receptions (286), receiving yards (3,777), receiving touchdowns (33) and all-purpose yards (4,116). The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Watson is the first Quaker to be invited to multiple senior all-star games since Gerald McGinley played in both the Senior Bowl and Shrine Game in 1952.
Watson has been said to be impressing NFL scouts at the Shrine Game practices in St. Petersburg, Florida.
After Saturday's game, Watson will move on to Mobile, Alabama, for the Senior Bowl practices that lead up to next Saturday's game. He will play for coach Vance Joseph and the Denver Broncos' staff on the North squad.
