Impact Singleton worked his way back up to double-digit carries after logging just nine during last week's loss to Ohio State. The sophomore running back also logged a season-high in targets, though he still finished behind fellow sophomore Kaytron Allen in terms of carries (18) and rushing yards (81). However, both still logged the exact same number of touches, and Singleton tallied the team's lone rushing score. Singleton leads the Nittany Lions in total touchdowns this season with eight, but he's only logged one score over the last three games. He and Allen should continue to split duties out of the backfield versus Maryland in Week 10.

Impact Singleton started the game very strong with back-to-back carries of 15-plus yards on the Nittany Lions' third offensive series. This success didn't last, however, as the sophomore was limited to seven rushing attempts for 12 yards over the remainder of the game. Singleton's track record as an extremely explosive playmaker makes him a rather tantalizing fantasy product, though he's logged just two touchdowns over the past four games -- both of which came against Northwestern in Week 5. Singleton and the Nittany Lions will look to establish some much-needed consistency versus Indiana in Week 9.

These two running backs has been the Big Ten's most productive duo at the midway point of the season, with Singleton tallying 89 carries for 362 yards while Allen has accumulated 78 rushes for 375 yards. Both of these running backs will likely play significant roles during next week's possibly season-defining road game against Ohio State.

Breaks 87-yard TD in Rose Bowl Singleton logged seven rushes for 120 yards and two touchdowns and did not catch his lone target during Monday's 35-21 win over Utah in the Rose Bowl.

Impact Singleton once again displayed his star potential, logging the fifth two-touchdown performance of his true freshman campaign. The 219-pound back got a chance to showcase his physicality with his first touchdown carry out of a Wing-T formation from the Utah five-yard line, running through a defender on his way into the end zone. His next score came when he exploded past the first line of defenders before breaking away down the middle of the field for an 87-yard touchdown in the third quarter. This was the ultra-talented back's third game with less than 10 rushing attempts, as he still split carries with fellow up-and-coming true freshman Kaytron Allen (11 rushes, 37 yards, one touchdown). Over 13 games, Singleton recorded a team-high 1,061 yards despite logging the second-most carries (156) behind Allen (167). With freshman quarterback Drew Allar set to take over for long-time starter Sean Clifford heading into next season, these two running backs should form one of the Big Ten's most dynamic duos in 2023.
