2026 NFL Draft: Ranking and Evaluating the Top 10 Running Backs

Sitting out Pinstripe Bowl Singleton (Pro Draft Prep) won't play in the Pinstripe Bowl against Clemson, per Richard Scarcella of the Reading Eagle.

Impact Singleton is out of eligibility after four full seasons with the Nittany Lions, and he'll begin his preparation for the 2026 NFL Draft by sitting out of the Pinstripe Bowl against Clemson. 2025 was his worst season in a Penn State uniform, as the Nittany Lions collapsed mid-year and fired head coach James Franklin. Still, Singleton totaled 3,461 rushing yards, 987 receiving yards and 54 touchdowns in his storied career in Happy Valley.

Scores twice in narrow victory Singleton notched nine carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns and gathered in 2 of 3 targets for 23 yards during Saturday's 40-36 victory over Rutgers.

Impact Although Singleton played second fiddle to Kaytron Allen once again, he managed an excellent line and added to his touchdown total in the victory. Barring a sit for injury management before an NFL run, Singleton will play his final college game in a postseason bowl, a berth the team secured with the win over Rutgers. Singleton recorded his lowest yardage total over his four seasons with the Nittany Lions, largely due to Allen's excellent play. Still, the senior rushed for 549 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, and caught 24 passes for 219 receiving yards and one touchdown catch.

Impact SIngelton regressed behind Kaytron Allen in the rushing totals again, re-starting another streak where Allen has outgained him. Singleton also failed to find the end zone in the win. Few would have believed that Allen's future pro value would beat Singleton's, but that appears to be the case right now. Wth Allen graduating, Singleton will soon face a decision about his college future. He could stay at Penn State, transfer elsewhere, or attempt to wow scouts at the combine. Based on how things have gone this season and his remaining year of eligibility, staying in the college ranks might be his best option.
