Terrell Washington Jr. - Standing out in spring Washington has continued to impress his coaches during spring, Nick Coppola of Las Cruces Sun News reports.
Impact Washington is one of two running that head coach Tony Sanchez highlighted about the running back room along with James Jones. The 5-foot-10 ball-carrier totaled 28 carries for 98 yards across eight appearances last season with Iowa.

James Jones - Shining in spring camp Jones was labeled as a "special player" by head coach Tony Sanchez, Nick Coppola of Las Cruces Sun-News reports.
Impact Jones, who joined the Aggies in January after spending one season with Delaware State, is clearly making an impression during spring practices. Sanchez said that he has the potential to be as good as any of the other running backs at the program while noting he is a special player. Jones played in 11 games last season and rushed 98 times for 958 yards and nine touchdowns and will now look to make an impact at the Division I level.

Adam Damante - In QB battle Damante is in a three-way battle for the starting quarterback position, Nick Coppola of Las Cruces Sun-News reports.
Impact Damante, who started the final two games of last season, is vying for the starting job in 2026 along with Trey Hedden and Kalani McLeod. Head coach Tony Sanchez said that Damante knows the offense the best, but Hedden looked the best in the scrimmage. While there's a long way to go before the season starts, Damante certainly has a good chance to be the Aggies' starter in Week 1.

Impact Currently enrolled at Sam Houston, part of Conference USA with New Mexico State, Lotten will change CUSA teams. Against the Bearkats' conference opponents, he logged zero targets. Ideally for Lotten, changing CUSA teams is how his opportunities will increase.

Lyndon Ravare - Lands with Aggies Ravare will transfer to New Mexico State, the program announced.
Impact Ravare posted 21 catches for 237 yards and one touchdown in 2025 with Kennesaw State. Now, the wideout will seek greener pastures with the Aggies, where he'll have one season of eligibility remaining.

Devin Ellison - Commits to NMSU Ellison has committed to New Mexico State for the 2026 season, per Nick Coppola of The Las Cruces Sun-News.
Impact Ellison will join the Aggies following a single season with Washington State. The 6-foot-2 receiver caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown in two games for the Cougars before being taken off the roster for unknown reasons. He will retain a single year of eligibility with New Mexico State.

Impact Jones had plenty of offers on the table, including programs such as Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, Syracuse and Cincinnati, as well as UTEP. He decided to join NMSU, though, and he should compete for the RB1 role in his new program. He tallied 78 carries for 336 yards and one touchdown in 2025.

Impact King pretty much was the NMSU offense in this game. He didn't play in the first four games of the season but still ended up with almost 600 yards receiving. With eligibility left, King may have bolstered his resume enough to transfer to a bigger program.

Kadarius Calloway - Rushes for 37 yards Calloway ran nine times for 37 yards and caught three passes for 22 yards against MTSU on Saturday. He also lost a fumble.
Impact This was a tough day for Calloway's first fumble of the season, as NMSU ended up losing in overtime. The redshirt senior did more than year than he did at Cal in 2024, but less than he did at ODU in 2023. That kind of makes him a poster child for the needless chaos of the current transfer portal layout.
