Shut down Thursday Hughes compiled nine carries for 15 yards and caught 2 of 4 targets for 26 yards during Thursday's 34-24 loss versus Memphis.

Impact Hughes had been the engine of the Green Wave's offense all season but was completely shut down in Thursday's loss. He gained just 15 yards on the ground on nine carries, both of which were by far his season lows. He added 26 yards in the passing game, but it was still far and away his worst performance of the season. He will look to bounce back versus Army in the AAC Championship Game on Dec. 6.

Continues dominant run vs Navy Hughes compiled 22 rushes for 82 yards and two touchdowns and gathered in their only target for three yards during Saturday's 35-0 victory versus Navy.

Impact Hughes was not particularly efficient Saturday and he failed to reach 100 yards for the first time since Week 5. He made up for it with a pair of touchdowns though, bringing him up to a whooping 17 on the season. The win secured Tulane's spot in the AAC Championship Game, but Hughes has one more regular season game before that as he takes on Memphis on Thanksgiving.

Dominant once again Hughes accrued 19 rushes for 153 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 52-6 victory against Temple.

Impact To no one's surprise, Hughes was dominant in Saturday's blowout win over Temple. He rushed for over 150 yards for the third time this season and scored a pair of rushing touchdowns, his fifth multi-touchdown outing in his last six games. He now ranks fourth in the nation with 1,209 rushing yards and is tied for 10th (tied for eighth among running backs) with 13 touchdowns. He faces a difficult and important matchup at Navy next.

Impact Hughes once again led the Green Wave to a win Saturday as he scored two touchdowns in his third straight game. He has scored at least one touchdown in every game this season. He also ran the ball a season-high 27 times and went for over 100 yards for the fourth time this season. His next three matchups are very favorable for running backs and he will likely continue to see a heavy workload, especially with the passing game struggling.

Impact Hughes was once again the Green Wave's most productive player Saturday as he gained 84 yards and scored his third touchdown of the season, an eight-yard reception in the third quarter. The fact that he had 71 rushing yards on 19 carries in a negative game script and against a tough defense is very promising for his future, especially considering his toughest two games on paper are in his rearview mirror.
