Josiah Freeman - Three grabs in loss Freeman logged three receptions (on 10 targets) for 26 yards during Saturday's 23-0 loss to San Diego State.
Impact Freeman was targeted heavily Saturday, though the Bulldogs struggled as a whole offensively after switching to Carson Conklin at quarterback. The senior wideout had racked up 129 yards and four touchdowns on 10 receptions in two games prior to Fresno State's bye. While Freeman remains the team's clear number-one receiving option, his ceiling could be limited by subpar quarterback play going forward.

Rayshon Luke - Productive in defeat Luke compiled five carries for 23 yards and gathered in all five of his targets for 35 yards during Saturday's 23-0 loss versus San Diego State.
Impact Luke was the lone bright spot for a Fresno State offense that struggled to get anything going in a shutout loss. The junior tied Bryson Donelson for the team lead in rushing yards, while also leading the Bulldogs in catches and receiving yards. Through eight games, Luke's totaled 565 all-purpose yards with seven touchdowns.

Carson Conklin - Gets start vs. Aztecs Conklin was 20-for-42 passing for 182 yards and two interceptions during Saturday's 23-0 defeat against San Diego State. He also had six rushes for -14 yards.
Impact After E.J. Warner threw three interceptions in a loss to Colorado State last week, the Bulldogs turned to Conklin under center against the Aztecs. It didn't go much better for the sophomore quarterback -- Conklin completed just 47.6 percent of his pass attempts while throwing two picks in a shutout defeat. Conklin joined Fresno State after throwing for 2,876 yards with 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions last year with FCS Sacramento State. It remains to be seen who'll be under center next week in a tough road matchup with Boise State.

He'd cut the Bulldogs' deficit to 35-21 in the third quarter with a 23-yard touchdown reception, his seventh score this season. Overall, Luke's 379 yards on 58 rushing attempts through seven games, while adding another 128 yards on 19 receptions.

Bryson Donelson - Limited again in loss Donelson notched eight carries for 23 yards and caught his only target for six yards during Friday's 49-21 defeat to Colorado State.
Impact It was another slow outing for Donelson, as Fresno State fell behind 35-7 in the second quarter and was forced to shift to a pass-heavy game plan. The sophomore Donelson has had a tough stretch, totaling just 63 yards on 37 attempts in his last three games. He'll look to get back on track next week against a San Diego State defense that's allowed just 3.01 yards per carry this season.

Impact While Warner's 350 passing yards and 49 pass attempts were both season highs, his three interceptions would prove costly in an upset loss to the Rams.
