Carson Conklin - In contention to start bowl game Fresno State hasn't decided on a starting quarterback for the team's Dec. 27 bowl game against Miami (OH) Jackson Moore of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Conklin will compete with E.J. Warner once again for the starting job, with the victor drawing the start for the Arizona Bowl. In four games this season, Conklin has thrown for 354 yards and a 1:2 TD:INT.

E.J. Warner - May not start bowl game Fresno State head coach Matt Entz said they haven't decided if Warner will start the team's Dec. 27 bowl game against Miami (OH), Jackson Moore of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Warner and Carson Conklin had been battling it out for the starting job late in the regular season, and it looks like there'll be another open competition to start the Arizona Bowl. Warner has thrown for 1,811 yards with a 12:11 TD:INT across nine appearances this season.

Impact Luke's availability for the Arizona Bowl remains up in the air due to an unspecified injury. The redshirt junior RB has rushed 106 times for 684 yards and six touchdowns while adding 26 catches for 228 yards and two scores as a receiver. If he can't play, Brandon Ramirez and Elijah Gilliam could see more action.

Impact Tarwater picked up an injury in the Bulldogs' regular-season finale. The issue will prevent him from suiting up for the Arizona Bowl. Tarwater has caught just five passes this season, so his absence shouldn't have much of an impact.

Rayshon Luke - Seven carries in win Luke tallied seven carries for 22 yards and reeled in 2 of 3 targets for 13 yards during Saturday's 41-14 victory over San Jose State.

Impact Luke found himself splitting work with four other backs Saturday, and ultimately wasn't able to get much going after totaling 173 rushing yards in his previous two games. While Luke found himself in a timeshare for most of the regular season, he did showcase some big-play ability, posting an impressive 913 all-purpose yards and eight touchdowns across 12 games ahead of Fresno State's bowl matchup.

Josiah Freeman - Six grabs, touchdown in win Freeman accrued six receptions (on seven targets) for 76 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 41-14 victory versus San Jose State.

Impact It was a strong finish to the regular season for Freeman, whose 76 yards marked his most since Week 7. While Fresno State's passing game was inconsistent overall, the senior Freeman has been their clear number-one option, hauling in 45 of 79 targets for 499 yards and six touchdowns.

Brandon Ramirez - Finds end zone Saturday Ramirez had 10 rushes for 47 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 41-14 victory against San Jose State.

Impact Ramirez extended Fresno State's lead to 13-0 in the second quarter with a two-yard touchdown, his third of the season. The sophomore Ramirez, who's 10 carries marked a season high, will head into bowl season with 218 rushing yards on 49 attempts.

Elijah Gilliam - Breaks out in finale Gilliam had nine carries for 92 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 41-14 victory over San Jose State.

Impact Gilliam delivered his best performance of the season in the regular-season finale, capped by a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns. In seven games prior to Saturday, the senior back had totaled just eight carries for 22 yards. Gilliam will head into the Bulldogs' bowl matchup with 215 yards and five touchdowns on 34 rushing attempts.

E.J. Warner - Efficient in finale Warner was 15-for-20 passing for 138 yards, a touchdown and an interception during Saturday's 41-14 win versus San Jose State. He also had six rushes for 21 yards.

Impact While Warner did turn the ball over twice Saturday, the Bulldogs would ride a strong defensive effort to a convincing victory. It's been an up-and-down season overall for the senior, who's started back-to-back games after he was benched in Fresno State's previous three contests in favor of Carson Conklin. Overall, Warner's completed 69.4 percent of his passes for 1,811 yards, 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He'll likely be under center again in the Bulldogs' upcoming bowl matchup.
