The redshirt freshman finished the regular season with 2,741 passing yards in completing 195 passes for 293 attempts and 24 touchdowns. He added three rushing touchdowns. If Notre Dame qualifies for the college playoffs, Carr will look to repeat the regular season across the board including the turnover category where he only threw six interceptions.

Before the contest against the Orange, the redshirt freshman's lowest yardage output was against USC with 136 passing yards in the Notre Dame 34-24 win on Oct. 18. Carr should rebound against Stanford this Saturday. The Cardinal defense is next to the bottom (North Carolina State) against the pass. Stanford defense allows 285 passing yards per game this season.

With the three touchdowns, the redshirt freshman has thrown 19 touchdowns for the season. Notre Dame takes on Pittsburgh on Saturday, Nov. 15. The Panthers defense is in the middle of the nation against the pass, but Pittsburgh has allowed two touchdowns per game against the pass.
