Turbo Richard - Dealing with shoulder ailment Richard was knocked out of Boston College's loss to UConn with a shoulder ailment and didn't return, per BC Interruption.
Impact Richard only logged six carries before getting knocked out of the game, which let Jordan McDonald assume the top ball-carrier role for the Eagles in his stead. McDonald wound up rushing for 124 yards in his stead, while Richard's status remains unknown heading into Week 9 in a tough matchup with Louisville.

He also had to deal with a new signal-caller, as the Eagles replaced opening day starter Dylan Lonergan with Grayson James. The latter was solid but not exactly efficient and he certainly didn't do enough to avoid another defeat. Bond still saw a healthy amount of targets, however; the Eagles will continue to feed their star wideout no matter who is under center.

Impact Despite extremely shaky quarterback play from two different signal callers, Bond managed to catch every ball thrown his way in a blowout loss to Clemson. Unlike in Week 6 against Pittsburgh, the Eagles' playmakers such as Bond and Turbo Richard still managed to put up solid statistical days in the loss. Boston College has a clash with UConn on deck in Week 8, which should be a much better matchup for the Eagles' offense.

Impact Reisig was once again called upon after starting quarterback Dylan Lonergan proved ineffective, but he fared much worse in Week 7 than he did in Week 6. After tossing for 70 yards and a touchdown against Pittsburgh, he was completely shut down by Clemson, committing his first career turnover in the process. It's a messy, messy quarterback situation at Boston College with no clear light at the end of the tunnel.

Impact Lonergan at least played marginally better than he did in Week 6 against Pitt, but that's not saying much and it once again wasn't good enough to prevent him from getting benched for true freshman Shaker Reisig for the second straight week. After an electric start to the season that saw him throw for 658 yards, eight touchdowns and no interceptions through the Eagles' first two games, that's proving to be a flash in the pan and now, there may be a serious quarterback dilemma at Boston College.
