Malachi Palmer - Scores 10 Wednesday
Palmer posted 10 points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 76-57 win over DePaul.
Impact
Palmer made his first start of the season Wednesday, replacing Matthew Hodge (knee) who is out for the remainder of the season. He did fairly well with the opportunity as he scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds, although he did not shoot the ball particularly well. He figures to start again in the regular season finale versus Xavier and could continue to start in the postseason depending on how well he plays.

Matt Hodge - Tears ACL Saturday
Hodge suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during the second half of Saturday's 89-57 loss to St. John's, Jeff Goodman of TheFieldof68.com reports.
Impact
Hodge's season will effectively end now that the no-contact lower right leg injury has been confirmed as an ACL tear. The 6-foot-8 forward had started all 29 games for the Wildcats in his freshman season, averaging 9.2 points and 3.6 rebounds across 27.6 minutes per game. He'll now look to make a return for next season, but it's unknown what his timeline looks like. Sophomore Malachi Palmer is the top candidate to fill into the starting lineup for the remainder of Villanova's season.

Matt Hodge - Suffers non-contact injury
Hodge suffered a non-contact lower right leg injury early in the second half of Villanova's loss to St. John's on Saturday, the Associated Press reports.
Impact
Hodge had started all 29 games for the Wildcats in his freshman season, averaging 9.2 points and 3.6 rebounds across 27.6 mpg. While no official report from the team has been released yet, speculation has been rampant that the injury could be season-ending, which is a big blow to Villanova's postseason outlook. In the short-term, look for Malachi Palmer to get more run at power forward.
